Hello mabination! I could use some help with my external hard drive if you wouldnt mind.
Essentially its an HP SimpleSave, it had been around my house for awhile, but wasnt in use. I hooked it up to my laptop, which then obtains the following.
CD Drive (G:) HP Launcher (0 bytes free of 884 KB) (CDFS)
If I click on this it loads for a moment, only to open up a new window with two files.
autorun and HPLauncher
If I hit HPLauncher, it loads then simply opens the same window again. If I hit autorun it opens the following in notepad.
[autorun]
open=HPLauncher.exe
And this is all I can do with it so far, I would like to actually use it but im not sure how.
Ive been googling for a bit and cant actually find a solution I understand. Im going to keep looking, but if any of you could help me out that would be great. Thanks!

Looks like they're trying to make you use their own tools to use the device.
Is the drive 2 TB or less total space? If yes you can just format it yourself through windows very easily. You just have to be very careful you're formating the right device.
You can try googling it, but when I get home from work I'll make a video of it regardless as something to shove onto my website.

Alright, I think I figured it out, its 1 TB, I found out how to reformat a section of it and now I have a 500 GB section formatted to NTSC, and one as the old format. Thanks Osay!

You can get it all as one big partition too, unless you wanted it to be split.

im not sure, it seemed to already be formatted that way, and since I wasnt sure what I was doing I only tried to reformat one part. Can I just combine them when the time comes in the future easily?

Better to do it right away. I'll include that in my video.

This is likely what you'll need to do to it.
Make sure there's nothing on the half you're going to delete.
