? Free, better, and doesn't kill my computer!? I'm interested in learning of this program myself.
Well I'm not a streamer (I do mess with video stuff a lot), but the last time I looked at it it had way more options. Options are basically everything when it comes to this stuff. Thing is, it might be a little difficult for someone to use if they don't really know what to do with video stuff. It's a lot easier to set the quality to 10 than to set the bitrate to a certain specific number and adjust the res/FPS/etc accordingly. If you know what to look for when the quality of the vid sucks then you can figure it out, but most people don't. You can always ask specific questions here of course.
If you can get at least 480p in high quality then IMO it would be better to have 480p 60 FPS than 720p 30 FPS. Smoother video is far more apparent than even resolution. Of course this is totally subjective and it's up to you. If your game runs at less than about 60 FPS then this is pointless anyway.
Posting a speedtest could also help.
Actually, upon looking the program over again, it's not so bad. I must've gotten some parts of it confused with Dxtory, which does get slightly more confusing with all its codecs and strange design.
