Systemwide EQ with Win 7 and 8

Pretty simple. Go to this site and do everything as said. It's easier than it looks as first.

You will need to join a forum to download everything you need, alternatively do the adjustments without visual aid. This will adjust your sound for games, internet browsers, media players, etc. equally.

You know, I THOUGHT about using a program like this until I realized the downfalls. Particularly, problems arise when you try to record your screen with Fraps or livestream and other people can hear your audio. You'll often forget you have it on and thus forget to turn it off and yet, at the same time, it'll sound perfect to you. Meanwhile, it'll sound unusual and off to anyone listening and you'll never notice because your headphones are making it sound perfect.

This is also kind of a problem when you need to hit record on an exciting game moment that you don't want people to miss, yet can't alt tab to disable it in the heat of the moment even if you do remember.

I know this is a preventable user error, but considering you could just EQ Foobar or your local music player, it leads people into a situation where they might not have much use for it. It's nice for Youtube, certain online streaming sites and people who won't be recording, but it may not be for everyone. My online radios go straight to Foobar so yeah.

Don't mean to interfere with your topic, I'm just pointing out the other side of it because I was there too.

Hmmm, very good that you mentioned that. I totally didn't think about that.

However, if you have multiple sound devices you don't have to install EqualizerAPO for all of them. I only installed mine for my soundcard, my USB monitors and USB mic are thus unaffected. If your mic is not plugged into an affected device it will remain unaffected.
