Hey nation, I have been doing some research and reading reviews to find a good gaming laptop within my budget. I thought that the Asus N56VJ-DH71 was pretty decent until my friend recommended me not to get it so, I am unsure about it now I did more research I thought that the Lenovo y500 and the MSI C Series CX61 0NF-258US were pretty good but, I am still not to sure. I would be using the laptop I get for gaming (to play Mabinogi and maybe League of Legends), to watch anime, and to do school work. What gaming laptops do you guys recommend (within my budget) to get.

You'd be better off getting an alienware cheap gaming rig.

You can get SLI on the Lenovo for 1,000. I currently own it and it works great. If you don't like SLI there are cheaper Y500s that don't come with SLI but you could find a better laptop with 760m graphics for 1000

I've been doing gaming laptops for a while and I strongly recommend against it.
Edit: Yes, even for college. So not worth.

Yea I'm heading off to college as well. I'd just get a normal laptop for those particular games, which I don't think are that demanding on your graphics. Most up to date laptops should be able to run those particular games fine.
And like CuCu said you would preferably want a desktop gaming rig anyways.

"Gaming laptops" have very short battery life and are very large compared to other portable devices
A tablet/small laptop/ultrabook are more appropriate for inclassroom desks because you might have a notebook on the same desk as well.
The portable device is for displaying powerpoints/ebooks/pdf of books while the notebook is for writing notes and drawing images on the fly.

I just got
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834231057
And it can run lol at medium settings at 60 fps
Not to mention its light, good battery life, and doesn't get too hot.

The games you listed don't require a gaming laptop/computer. You can buy any laptop within the last 2 years and play those game fine.
Spending $1000 on a gaming laptop to play to non-demanding games is a waste and you obviously didn't do research regarding the subject.
Buy an ultrabook, something which is more fit for school.

the lenovo y510p isnt a bad deal. It is the laptop I have purchased and I have no problems with it. I can play LoL max settings with at leat 30 frames even when not plugged in. Mabi is a different story because it tells me my gpu doesnt have the minium recommended specs but I can still go into like white dragons with at least 20 frames.

You could honestly set yourself "what i would want in a laptop computer" then build a desktop of the same specs for half the price, and use the leftovers to buy a laptop for school use.
