How to Wipe HD

You can use something like this http://www.dban.org/
If you want a complete wipe with no recoverable data.

It takes a long time to wipe it though, since that's a complete and actual wipe.

Otherwise, re-formatting everything will "erase" data for re-use. Which you can do with a windows CD. Or with windows disk management or GParted (open-source software).
