This is for failures.
For some strange reason mixing base potion, 10 hp and 10 sp counts as recipe.
And it makes waste herbs which counts as herbs.
P.S. Most possibly a glitch with waste herbs as possible outcome. Sometimes it gives skill exp, sometimes it doesn't. Recipe gives about 55% so it's reasonable enough to fail.
* You still need to make mandrakes.

I think it is a glitch but this is way faster than spamming dorren's request, which can be a pain to do.
I wonder if it's intended...and what specific recipe gives waste herb....
You still have to make mandrakes, just that for failures you can use this.
Edit: Here's what I found....
Making waste herbs do not give skill exp for recipe success, but adds to make a herb requirement.
You get skill exp for recipe failure when you fail using the above recipe (base potion, 10 sp, 10 hp), about 50% of the time.
This is still way faster than doing dorren's request for failures. Since you have to fail at least 67 times. If you have enough materials for mandrakes you can keep failing through this way.

I can't seem to get it to count as a recipe. :<

It's probably a glitch, not sure if the other servers has it.
Only the failures for recipe works, successes don't.

It was like that for a while.
You can get other pots, or herbs, by mixing in pots and/or herbs together.
Old news is old. :<

I've never heard of some recipe failure thing for Rank B using non-recipe materials though.
If there was something like that, mind showing an article to me?

Oh, it won't count as fail or success for the "recipe" but it will, for pots, and herbs.

Why?
There are cheaper fixed recipes you can use, and sp30 + hp10 + sp10 make herbs and potions.

Though for people that don't already have r1 mastery, they can just get those fixed recipe failures while they do mandrakes/basic mana stones/ice mines. I remember mandrakes were only ~45% when I worked on rB synthesis.

The failure rate for non-fixed recipes is higher.

So Rime beat me to it. Strangely, even if I get mandrakes or potions out of that recipe, it doesn't count as a fixed recipe success. Only the failures are counted, which is how I think it is a glitch.
