  For those of you who plan to play with us in early access on Ultros and don't already have a character on there, you might want to create it ASAP once early access start.

  [NA] Procedures during Periods of High Congestion (Aug. 21)
  We are expecting major congestion during the period starting with the Early Access on Aug. 24, 2013 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT) leading up to the official game launch on Aug. 27, 2013 (PDT).
  
  If a large volume of players attempt to login to the game simultaneously, certain players may receive the following message: “This World is currently full. Players in queue: ##.” If you receive this message, we ask that you please wait until your login is processed.
  
  In addition, in order to avoid server congestion related issues from multiple characters concentrating in the starting areas, we may implement restrictions on logins and/or the creation of new characters for a period of time after the servers open to the public.
  
  We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

  I'm a bit scared for what the actual release will be like... So many login problems from just early release. Imagine when all who bought the game+PS3 users join...

  Teneshi convinced me to probably preorder this. Think I might soon because I only have a bit under 24 hours to do so!
  
  I have no idea what to expect. I kind of just want the feeling of starting FF11 again, even if I didn't like 11. It would be interesting to play this sort of game again after taking a break from more "traditional" MMOs for a long time now.
  
  It's pretty discouraging to hear people say Square doesn't care as the game could just be doomed again in the long run... but it doesn't really matter as long as it's good for a while. Haven't played it or watched videos of it, so it'd be a bit of a blind purchase. I did that with TERA too and really enjoyed it though.

  It's pretty good so far. More and more of the world opens up to you as you gain levels.
  
  I just got my chocobo which really helps with transportation.

  3 more levels until I can join a GC and save up for mine.
  
  Curious as to how I can get a mage barding for m Chocobo (if it's even available right now...)

  Also make sure you save up your allowances (at least 10) for guildleves since once you gain access to grand company guildleves, you can farm them for the currency used to buy the chocobos. Otherwise, you'll need to do either hunting log entries or fates for it.

  I haven't been doing any Guildleves so I probably fair amount saved up. I finally looked at the GC store and 2k is nothing compared to other items.

  Well some of the gear is like 2k a piece. If you've been playing the game normally, you'll get tons of seals once you get to the level where you can actually equip them.

  I assumed as much. I guess they need to hold back on all this content to keep the game going with a steady flow of updates.

  Not saying that the gear such as weapons from the gc store aren't worth getting. They're actually quite decent.
  
  The best place you can purchase gear is the market board since people usually price fine quality pieces for about the regular npc price.
  
  That or instance spamming.

  The combat system isn't ~too bad~. Definitely wish it was more unique but the entire game is just so pretty and I loooove the crafting.
