Vero Beach, Florida (CNN) -- Kaitlyn Hunt's communications now will be confined to her lawyers, guards, fellow inmates and perhaps a few choice visitors after contacting the underage teenage girl at the center of the case against her in violation of a court order.
A Florida judge decided as much Tuesday, when he revoked "bond of any kind" for Hunt, who was 18 when she was charged with two felony counts of lewd and lascivious battery after allegedly having sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl.
Judge Robert Pegg made his ruling after an Indian River Sheriff's Office detective testified about the contents of an iPod that Hunt had given the younger girl -- including more than 20,000 text messages, "explicit" videos and nude pictures -- despite a court order that the two not communicate, electronically or otherwise.
"It's overwhelming that Ms. Hunt has chosen to violate the conditions of her bond deliberately and willfully on several occasions," Pegg said in explaining his decision.

I mean, I don't really know I feel about this, on one hand she's still a kid, she's 18, she made a stupid mistake and she thought she could get away with this, but on the other hand, she was given a second chance and she blew it.
Calling her a pedophile is really overboard, but at the same time if she was a male then more people would be calling her a sexual predator.
This case is just full of ugh.

The irony is that she was dating her girlfriend BEFORE she turned 18.
Kinda funny how it's perfectly fine to date somebody of practically any age when you're 17 or under, but as soon as you turn 18? OH NO NOW IT'S SUDDENLY NON-CONSENSUAL
lolpls. The only people who cannot consent under any circumstances are like, 10 year olds. You can't fuckin' tell me that some 13-14 year olds can't consent because I'm living proof that yes, they can. And I know I'm not a special little snowflake - meaning that there are plenty of 13-14 year olds who can have relationships with people of a variety of ages.
What's more is the "14yo" girl herself looks like a normal teenager. If she looked far younger than she actually was, then yes, it would be understandable to call it pedophilia since it would've meant that she probably like her because she looked like a little girl. But nope.
tlr;dr; society is full of shit and needs to revise it's "statutory "rape"" laws stat because they're fucking useless and HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ACTUAL RAPE. Shit. It's such an insult to people who are actually raped..

Unfournately, parents and law makers are all concerned about their daughters and children and are way too overprotective. The problem isn't just the government but the attitudes of parents all around. I mean just watching episodes of to catch a predator stinks of these attitudes and there's no escaping it.
Basically, Americans are fucking tightwads and because it's a cultural thing, it's not likely to change in the next coming years. Of course the US isn't the only country guilty of this.

I kind of want to slap this girl because after she's free on bond, she does EXACTLY WHAT YOU SHOULDN'T DO and gets it revoked.
I do hate how fucked up ages of consent are, like Cynic said. But goddamn this girl fucked herself over.

I don't see how not wanting your 12 year old daughter having sex with 30 year olds makes you a tightwad. Makes perfect sense to me.

Because the parent is the legal guardian of the child.
If the parents say no, it's friggin no, if it happens to be against the law, you can bet your ass the parents will use the law to their side.
You realize if the parents DIDNT do anything, the media would spin the parents to be neglectful parents?
The 14 year old has absolutely no rights in this and the 18 year old should have learned to be patient.

because 12 and 30 and 15 and 18 is totally the same thing guys. If I had a teenage daughter, I'd explicitly tell her to date slightly older people anyway.
Hunt is stupid though.

If it's love, it can wait two years, when the girl turns 16 and is legally allowed to have sex.
I have so many friends who purposely waited until they were a certain age to make sure something like this wouldn't happen.
As the saying goes: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
She shouldn't have done what she did, though I'm thinkin 15 years is a bit harsh.
Laws regarding age are in place partially because the government feels that at certain ages, a person is not old enough to make clear and intelligent decisions because of the lack of experience/ knowledge on certain matters. This makes such laws highly situational, but prevent disputes in much more common cases, such as the case of actual rape.
How many of us, at 14, knew the consequence of sex at a young age, knew how badly it could ruin our lives if we did have sex? what about when we were 16? 18? 21?
Perspective and intelligence changes with age, and the law acknowledges that. You may not agree with it, but respect the law that is generally accepted by the people you live with, or suffer the consequences.
