Video recorder crashes Mabi

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. So basically whenever I try and record something I got frozen up and have to kill the client manually. It doesn't matter where I am or what I'm doing just that it will crash Mabi.

The game registers the recording and a file will be made in the video folder, but it won't even open up.

It's probably because your recorder is recording sound that is not from your sound card/driver. This thread has instructions on how to change the sound recording on your sound card/driver: http://mabination.com/mabination-community/tech-support/249-how-record-ingame-sound-built-game-recorder.html

If that doesn't help then I don't know.

and that doesn't exactly help seeing as how I have Win 7.

In that case then go to Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Under Sound Tab}Manage Audio Devices>Recording>And make sure it's your Sound Card/Driver being used. It's usually something like Realtek Digital or something like that.
