As I've seen on many forums, games, and others, I've seen people spend HUNDREDS of dollars on their virtual gaming, and I don't understand why. Maybe it's in my genetics to be logical about this. (I am Indian after all)
The Boundary Lines
Birthday Money This boundary line is really low on buying nexon cash. Perhaps they'll spend their birthday money on it, (because that might be all they can spend in a year). They usually spend it on mounts and pets. Sometimes on the cheaper Cash Shop items.
Money Spent per year - Up to $50
Allowance Get $5 a week like I do? Well, you have to spread apart your spending, because Mabinogi isn't life. :]
This is generally spent on pets, and maybe Extra Storage.
Money Spent per year - Up to $80
The One with a Job Get $8 an hour! Lucky ducks! I still believe they should spread apart their money, but they can afford to get Premium Service every month, along with every pet there is! (Except for the ones that come when you're hiatus).
Money Spent per year - No Limits. O.O
Now that that's out of the way, we can talk about how to actually use your NX.

NX can be used for a lot of things, such as Advanced feathers, dyes, service, pets, gachas; you name it! Here are the benefits of the things you can buy with NX.
Mounts
Always handy to have some of these. Mounts are extremely beneficial (if you hear anyone say that they aren't, smack them with your mount). First of all, they're your personal [yournamehere]mobile. Or like some kind of old school, living motorcycle/car that you own. Whatever tickles your fancy. They also come in handy during combat. Put them on a hot key, summon it to save your life. Syrphid's guides can teach you how to maximize your pet's usefulness.

The bolded ones are the most recommended pets to have. Thoroughbred because it's like the... fast, reliable, and powerful car in your garage. Black Cotton Ostriches are nice, too. Because of their rush that makes them faster than a Thoroughbred for a fixed amount of time. An eagle is the best choice for a flying mount because it's the fastest, non-limited flying mount out there. Unless you have friends who you like to play with who don't have their own flying mount, get this one. If not, get the carpet/pelican. For new players, a broom is a good pet to get because it's fast on land and in the skies. It's just that the better broom isn't sold anymore... ._. THE GRIFFIN. GET THAT. IT'S BOLD AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL. The crossed out ones on the end are crossed out because really, mimics = inventory space but now, we have owls. Snow mounts... ehh. Not that useful. The rest are good too, just not as recommended.
Non-mount Pets
These pets are really handy, too. I'm not going to list them all because... well, there are a lot. .__. I'm just going to skim the surface of this one. There are pets that transform with you, ones with great inventory, ones that give you life skill materials, ones that windmill, and even ones that blow bubbles around you! For these ones, the choice is really up to you. Visit the wiki to do your own research on every. Single. One. ;w; Remember to train your pets!
[ Non-mount Mini-List ]
Crabs |6,200 ~ 6,900 NX| blows bubbles around you!
Bears |7,400 ~ 7,500 NX| great combat pets
Cobra |4,900 ~ 5,200 NX| for getting poison
Cats |4,400 ~ 5,900 NX| DK transformation
Dogs |4,600 ~ 5,200 NX| Paladin transformation
Snowy Owl |6,800 NX| 7x9 inventory!
Black Wolf/Persian/Hamster |5,700 ~ 6,300 NX| windmill pets
Clover Pig/Gnu |6,200 ~ 6,500 NX| gives you herbs
Rebirth Cards
Self explanatory, really. These are for if you aren't using the 17 -> 20 free rebirths or if you want to change your look. Or if you want the clothes from the limited ones. Or if you want to gender swap. Or maybe even recreate yourself into a clone of your friend. You can do whatever you want, it's a fantasy life.
Premium Service
This is for those who either run a guild, own a house, set up shops, or just like the extra inventory/gestures, and whatever else I'm forgetting that service gives you. I think this is more of a... "get it if you can afford to pay for it every month and if you actually use/need it" kind of thing. Yea, it's nice to have. But does everyone need it? No, not really. Personally, I don't get service because I don't plan on making a guild anytime soon, all of the inventory I need is from my pets, and I don't really vend that much, so... don't need it. However, I do have an alt that's total level is under 30 that I abuse the free service off of. For the heart stickers, space, occasional vending, accessories, etc. So, if you think you actually need/want the extra things, by all means, buy it. But if not, get an alt.
Cash Shop Items
This is the bugles, gachas, dyes, feathers, name color changers, summoning capsules, and all that good stuff are. The majority of this stuff is considered a luxury but a lot of it really does come in handy. Most of the really useful things can be bought with gold from people who buy it with NX. These types of things all depend on the person, too. Some people would rather buy 10 gachas than buy 2x combat pots or advanced feathers. Whatever floats your boat and catches your eye.

What should I spend my NX on? :what:
Now that we know what you can spend your NX on, we can get to the fun part. What to spend it on. This all depends on how much NX you get a year, or just in general.
Low NX Useage
If the amount of NX you get yearly is low, you shouldn't be using your NX on things like Premium Service, dyes, and that cute crab you've been eying. With the "small" flow of NX you're getting, you should be getting:
Mounts
Limited pets/RB cards
Combat/Inventory pet
Cheap Cash Shop items
Limited pets/RB cards
Combat/Inventory pet
Cheap Cash Shop items
Why, you ask? Well, it's simple. If your NX is scarce, a mount will benefit you the most. Your traveling time will be lowered by a lot, therefore giving you more time to get down the business. Not only that, but most mounts are really handy in combat. Limited pets, although usually above the 10k NX mark, are a good purchase. They're limited, and so is your NX. With the leftover, you could get yourself a mini bear, windmilling pet, or an owl. You know, to smash and windmill some Fomors or store your beautiful clothes. You really shouldn't be buying RB cards because they don't really benefit you that much (I'm assuming that since your NX is low, you use the free 3 week RB system). Unless the rebirth card is a limited one, I highly suggest you don't buy any. If there isn't anything there that currently piques your interest, you could just save the rest. Lastly, the cash shop items! These are only for when you have leftover NX from your bigger purchase. Like, say, you had 500 NX left.
Medium NX Useage
Here's where things get iffy. I'm assuming if you have a medium amount of NX yearly, you already have the mounts you want, you dabble in gacha, and whatnot. I'd recommend that you buy:
Limited pets
Limited RB cards
Handy Cash Shop items
Limited RB cards
Handy Cash Shop items
Since you already have your cool [yournamehere]mobiles, you don't really need to prioritize mounts anymore. After that comes the limited pets. *w* You know, the shiny ones that might not be all that useful, like that Reindeer from last year. I'd say collect them. They only come around once, and since you have the NX for it, might as well catch 'em all! /lamePokemonreference. I'd also recommend buying the limited RB cards that you like because the clothes from those are usually nice. Plus, since your NX isn't that scarce, and if there are no limited pets at the time, you could try out a new look. 8D Cash shop items are also completely worth it if you're in this NX range. You could be the savior of a Generation final with your feathers. Or you could be a fashionista with those beautifully dyed clothes. Or you could try your luck with some gachas. Or, you could be more money savvy and just run dungeons to buy the dye amps for 100k-ish and save that NX for something else. /Chineseinstictskickingin.
High NX Useage
When you're here, you can buy whatever you want. I'm going to assume some more and think that if you're here, you have all the mounts you could possibly want, have all of the limited pets, most of the limited RB card outfits, dyes, and all that jazz. At this point, I'd say the only things you could buy are:
Premium Service
Limited rebirth cards
Limited pet cards
Cash Shop items
Limited rebirth cards
Limited pet cards
Cash Shop items
That's kind of like saying "buy everything." But really, when you're investing this much NX into a game, you better play it all the time. D:< And since you play all the time, buying service would do you a lot of good. No more abusing free service for you. 8D I also think that it's worth it to collect all of the limited things and maybe get yourself a lot of feathers, dyes, ego weapon repairs, and some bugles/gachas. [s]JUST BUY WHATEVER YOU WANT, YOU'RE ROLLING IN NX.[/s] No, you don't get to buy whatever you want. Those chat color changers and some of that other useless stuff out there... don't buy it. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Just like gachas. You can get [s]a lot[/s] some, but they're a gamble, so you really shouldn't, unless you like the thrill of the gamble and can afford it.
Aaaaand that concludes this guide. Remember, all of this is just a suggestion, so it's not like these are the iron laws of NX prioritizing. Anyways, happy spending!
