  Okay, so before bed, here's a progress shot of my latest drawing.

  Got some basic coloring and shading done and I'm going to do a lot more tomorrow. Also, I apologize if the wings look godawful, I'm just terrible at drawing wings.
  
  She's a guardian angel bearing the wings of freedom upon her back, bringing brave souls to give up their lives for the sake of humanity. And when a soldier's job is done, the guardian angel will be there to them home.
  
  And now to bed because I have school tomorrow! (I almost cried while writing out that second part. Jesus christ this anime.)

  They don't look like they're making a sacrifice at all. They look...sad, but angry. They don't convey a sense of being brave at all.
  
  The angel is the best thing in your drawing, except for the hair/head - something's off there. I think it's the hair and the angle of the neck.
