I was done with most of the combat skills expect counter which was rank 2 and charge which was rank 8. i rank but the skills up and now have rank 1 counter and rank 7 charge was this worth it? I do use charge from time to time and i ust counter.

The way you asked your question was rather vague... I couldn't understand it.
However, if you're talking about the fact that you used your 40 AP to rank counterattack and charge, i'll just say one thing:
It doesn't matter. If you're really a warrior/ranger, it shouldn't matter which order you rank those skills in, because the training's not gonna go anywhere, just wait for the next rb when you can earn another 50+ AP from merely leveling and ranking exploration, which you can use to rank AR.

I sorry for the way i type that up wasn't really thinking. What i was asking was "is it worth it to rank those skills to the maximum rank"?

Well, the change from r2->r1 for most skills usually results in a significant improvement. If you use counter/charge from time to time, I suppose it is worth it. Many people rank counter/charge to r1/r6, but never really bother about it. Then, they don't really care since it isn't much AP lost.
As long as you rebirth every 3 weeks or so, 40 AP isn't really much at all.
If you are somewhat obsessive about master titles, having r1 counter early means you can start working on the title early.
