Very strange GPU thingy

so, I have a NVIDIA geforce GT 635m 2gb, optimus tech.
The strange thing is, I want to run the game with the external graphics.
In-game, the video card selection won't let me select the card. However, I run the game with the external option already selected, as in I tell my laptop to run the game using the 635m. And when I use afterburner to monitor GPU activity, it tells me the 635m is running.

SO why don't i have the option in the mabi menu?

Nothing strange here. It's telling you it's doing what you asked it to do. v:

You control which programs use the dedicated GPU using the nvidia control panel. There's a tray icon that tells you if the nvidia GPU is being used as well, if you did a proper driver install.

The thing is, theres no 635m option in the mabinogi options menu. I'm just wondering if that's supposed to happen.

You mean within the game itself? The Mabinogi client is clueless as to which GPU it runs on. It's only configurable through the nvidia control panel.
