Hello fellow Mabi fans, I'm CherryBelle, and it's a pleasure to meet you all! :)
I love mmos/mmorgs and an guilty of game hopping, although a few have stayed in my favorite games list (Grand Fantasia, Eden Eternal, Flyff, Pangya).
I wanted to try out a game that didn't have the typical 'pick a starting class and grind and level up', and I was so excited when I found Mabi! I almost compare it to a hybrid of a mom and The Sims.. Lol.
The many different skills drew me to the game, and the talent title. As soon as I found out I could be a tailor, I was like, sign me up!
Anyway, super happy I found this comm! I'm sure I'll run into problems and it's always so nice when experienced players take the time to help lowely news like us. Lol.
Hope to see you around on th forums!
~ Cherry

Welcome to the forums.
I've also had my share of game hopping as well; I used to enjoy Pangya back when I played it.

And oh lord game hopping.. xD First MMO was Maplestory <w< been through Grand Chase, Mabinogi of course~ Vindictus, Dragon Nest, La Tale, probably missing something in there.. oh plus tons of others that didn't stick well with me. xD
No time for any of that anymore though~ and Mab is my favorite, so here I am. xP [S]Do have a friend who's trying to push me into FFXIV though[/S]

Welcome and thanks for joining Mabination!
Also, I too have done many a MMO hopping only to return back to Mabinogi. At first though it was Runescape for 5 years, Maplestory for 2, and now Mabinogi has been going strong for me for over 5 years. Of course in that time I've also experimented with Runescape and Maplestory as well as other MMO's when I get bored or things started going south.
Nothing has compared to Mabi though. I hope you enjoy your stay and don't forget to ask plenty of questions! We also have the Mabinogi World Wiki for tons of information.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes! I kind of forgot about this thread for a while. Oops....
I feel just like you do Kingofrunes, no MMO or MMORPG I have found so far compares to the general structure of Mabinogi. The closest I can think of is that it kind of reminds me of the Sims, MMO style. I have yet to beat that mini fishing game in Mabi though.. While in the sims I'm like fishing champion. Fail.
Brynn, I am on Alexina's server. What about you?
I really need to play pangya at least once a week. My skills just go down the toilet if I leave that game alone for a couple months. Last time I came back, there was an entire new map/course too. I was like wow.. I was only gone a few months. o_o
I also like Grand Fantasia, but I haven't played it for a while. I kind became bored with how structured it is compared to Mabi, where you can branch out and do pretty much anything you desire. Plus, I'm almost at the level where I can choose if I want to be a Palidin or the other one... And getting even to level 24 or something took me sooooo long in that game, I feel like I need to be absolutely sure I know which class to pick next. I also wish we could change our hairstyles in GF, kinda boring being stuck with pigtails and a bow for eternity.
Eden Eternal is another one I dabble with. I play it on and off, but not to the extend of GF.
So far, the ones that have managed to keep my attention (and actually made me decide to shell out some real cash) have been Mabi and Pangya. For Pangya, I wanted some nice golf clubs, and with the extra points, I bought Arin her school girl outfit and her motion item... for Mabi, I bought the new cloud and a kangaroo rat. (I spent long and hard debating what second pet to get, but I thought the kangaroo rat was just too freaking adorable.)
One thing with Mabi that I like and that can be a bit infuriating is how complex things are. I made a good friend that's helped me quite a bit, but I pretty much didn't understand how AP points worked for a couple weeks into to the game. If you'd believe it.. the only skill that is currently in an R rank is... dun dun.. Sheep Sheering!! I am Sheep Sheering R4! lol
