Hey,
So I'm pretty much dull when it comes to equipment settings and I'd like to hear a few suggestions that could help me out.
I am melee and currently have a Lich Spike Knight Lance, an almost-fully-upgraded Gladius with a Heater Shield and a fully upgraded Dustin Silver Knight Sword.
For armors, I have a Pitch Black Valencia's Cross Plate Armor, Strider Valencia's Cross Plate Boots, Stiff Wild Boar Tail Cap and a crappy pair of normal gauntlets with the enchant Joy.
I got an ego wand and am thinking of slowly getting some magical equipments which could help my damage out a bit. So..any suggestions? ^^;

Seems like you're melee. If that's the case, first thing you do is ditch the wand away, it'll be useless.
For Knight Lance, it's close to useless without Secret penetrating. Note that you'd need to rank up skills to do so, so you migh wanna look into that as well.
Throw away that gladius. With the new balance patch, that gladius is close to useless for beginners. Get a falcata or beam swords. Also, don't use shield, it's pretty much obsolete for humans. If you're gonna use swords, I'd say beam or battles. Goddess Caliburn on battles.
For armor, since you'd get PD from masteries anyways, don;t go for PD armor. Instead go for high defense like dragon knight armor, or thames for higher damage. Put sight pitch black for enchants (sight for balance. If you still lack balance, smack glass fragment for suffix)
For boots, get Oblivion viscount. If you lack the balance, put strider.
For gaunts, get Expansive elegant. Ideally, you;d want swarming, but I don't see too much of those around. If you do see one, try to get one, it shouldn't be too much.
Oblivion dexterity for helmet. I don't really see which one would be better other than vine, and I'd say vine's still not better, just a temporary alternative.
Also, don't forget accs. Just simply get stout EQ, for damage and defense.

Lion hunter's spike is just as good and doesn't have the ridiculous 10x repair costs, not to mention dual wield sucks now. A elemental hlc, even if just lv 2 hlc with lich croc will be a lot better than dual wield, not forgetting that r1 hlcs are relatively cheap.
Edit: almost forgot, gacha puked out spike falcatas a while ago, if OP still rather go for dual wield instead of 2h can always grab 2 of those and put lion hunter's on them, they're just a tiny bit worse than battles but considering the amount of artisans battles take (+ market mod coupons), falcatas end up being just as good and cheaper.

beams are cheap and i got ele2 on both with less than 30 fines.enchanting, special ups and ele6 would take tons of resources.[S]my r1 glory took 115 fines & 40+ reds and still no ele6 and is at step 1 not to mention i need enchant pots to put croc since it only has lich spike atm[/S].i didnt use elsinore so that beam setup with be cheaper and assuming op has less str beams would be better.wm is another story.

Get secret penetrating on you lance. Get a helmet and put oblivion dexterity or vine dexterity. Also, for greaves get oblivion butterfly and for for gauntlets get expansive elegant or expansive camp if you decide to do guns later. I don't know much for armor but if you decide to get clothes I would say to put special ambush on them. Finally for you Dustin sword get lich crocodile but if I were you the only melee weapon I would use would be lances.

i think the most important question is your budget

Got around 3 million atm so I don't know if I can afford most of the stuff you guys listed ^^;
Is Lich Spike that bad? Seems like I wasted money on buying it...

the main thing is your title is at odds with your actual question. Ideal equipment sounds like your asking for the best equipment possible.
Lich is a middle of the road enchant on a lance, spike is fairly bad on a 2 handed weapon
though the only recommendation i'd make for u on your current budget is to buy a better hat, probably bandit since thats easy to get
the 2nd most important question is ur character stats

I'm not necessarily looking for the best equipment, just something reasonable I can use in ordinary battle because I know my current equipments are pretty crappy.
My base stats without any boosts are as following: (I'm only 13 years old right now, will be rebirthing in 2-3 weeks)
STR: 188
INT: 38
DEX: 281
WILL: 196
LUCK: 69

For gloves/gauntlets, one option is to use the River Raven Admiral Owen's gloves from the generation quest. You can then bridge to Classic. You would need a few ranks of Enthralling performance though(B+ for the damage), but with a good Raven roll, it would make for a nice glove.
Like Syrion said, on your hat, Bandit is the way to go. Bandit is pretty easy to get from Bandit Homesteads. If you get a helm and have enough crit, Deserted is a pretty usefull prefix.
I really like Special for Clothes/Armor. Its an easy to get r9 prefix that adds 8 max.
For your boots, I like Fleet for a prefix. It is a r9 enchant though. Otherwise, any max damage prefix like fox will work (every little bit helps xD)
Do you plan on special upgrading your gladius? And do you commerce/Bandit hunt much? If you dont plan on special upgrading, fomor gladii and broadswords are great. Plus you can put Hoodlum (9-12 max + 2-4 Crit) on them for cheap. Some other good, easy enchants are Lizard, Wolf Hunters, or Lion Hunters.
For your Dustin sword, Untamed is a good damage option though it decreases protection. Violent is a nice two hand suffix, but it can be very expensive to get. Might not be worth it on a dustin sword.
For your lance, you could replace Spike with either Damage enchants like Crocodile or Violent, or Piercing enchants like Medal or Penetrating. However, you run the risk of damaging or even completely destroying your lance since these are higher ranked enchants.
As far as magical equipment, I wouldn't worry to much about magic enchants. The Magic attk ones didnt scale with the change in formula, so they unfortunately aren't really worth the time and effort. A Magic useage reduction set is still usefull, so I would look into getting one of those if you plan to pursue magic more.

on ur budget i'd reconsider keeping 3 weapons
i would just ditch glad, ditch dustin, keep the lance and slap on crocodile like aliyah said if u can
also rebirth to age 17, if ur rbing every 2 to 3 weeks anyway. if u care about looking small buying age pots is probably cheaper than cash rbing anyway

I actually came back two weeks ago and my friend just rebirthed for me instead while I was inactive since it would be a waste to not rebirth not on time
Coming back to my equipments, I ditched both Gladius and Dustin and got myself a 1st generation Focused Blue Beam Sword with no enchant on it.
I'll make sure to get that headgear first and then any enchants if I happen to get to that level of being able to enchant higher tier scrolls :)
Thanks all for the help and suggestions!
