Human Defense?

  I was crunching some numbers earlier and was looking at defense in particular when a guildie made a statement about his defense. Curious I tried to see what could be factored in to have the def that he said. With wiki and my knowledge of current enchants/etc I put this together.

  135 def naked
  222 def fully equipped
  
  Information supplied:
  
  Human (Talent unknown but will assume warrior given knowledge of player's pref)
  
  832 str fully equipped = +83.2 def or 83 def
  792 str naked = +79.2 def or 79 def
  (above has no knowledge of any titles or prefix titles)
  
  r1 in shield mastery, heavy armor mastery, defense = +60 def if in heavy armor and shield equip
  
  Thames set (unknown upgrade path, will assume graded for highest def)
  (Enchants unknown but will assume "Defensive Oak Tree")
  
  - Defensive = +4 def
  - Oak Tree = +6 def
  
  - Thames armor = 6 def + 7 def from upgrades = +13 def
  - Thames greaves, gaunts, helm = +4 def
  
  - Total def from Thames = +27 def
  
  Demonic shield (was told it has 16 def after upgrades) = +16 def
  (unknown enchants, will assume "Guardian Composed" )
  
  - Guardian = +4 def
  - Composed = +3 def

  Since titles is unknown will assume highest possible def combination

  + 9 Dark Lord Title
  +10 Shield Master Title

  +23 Shield Mastery (Medium Shield)
  +20 Demonic Shield with Guardian Composed
  +20 r1 Heavy Armor Mastery
  +27 Thames Armor Set with Defensive Oak Tree
  + 7 Accessories, Stout Earthquake
  
  = 219 def < 222 def
  
  Now this is what I got. I can see where I mightve missed something in equipment because there might be other enchants that give more def. Also the accessories are question marks since I cant remember exactly what they were. Maybe they were droseras which would explain for the gap. Also didn't know what enchants were for the greaves/gaunts/and helmet.
  
  Anyway I gave the player the benefit of the doubt and tried my best to get the highest def I could from what I knew. The fully equipped def can be argued and debated but my main question. My main reason for all of this...is this player's naked defense. Is there anything that I could've missed?

  Did you add the defense (or protection) give by the accessories themselves? (not the enchant)
  
  Still nowhere as good as a giant blocking with a Vales Shield.

  Yea left that out on purpose since I didn't remember the exact accessories the player used.

  I have also noticed that my own defense is about ~80 with just clothes and barely 500 str, so I assume that there is a basic amount of defense at some point?
  
  Also keep in mind that the first 10 points in a stat to do not add to these values.
  830 str = (830 - 10) / 10 = 82 Defense.

  The person is probably just lying or using temporary defense buffs to e-peen and make themselves sleep better at night by bragging to others. What you know about the stats and race is already enough to prove that their naked base defense is definitely not 135. It's most likely 90-something with an offensive title.
  
  It's most easy to tell that they're using temporary defense buffs (such as cloud summon or food, etc) if they have shown you a picture of their naked character stats and the number under the "Defense" section is in yellow, and they're not using any defensive titles.

  Yea just got a screenshot from the person a few hours back. Def was 129 with the base def being 95. Str was 769 which would mean 75 def from that and the +20 def from defense rank 1. The additional 34 def must've been from enduring melody, cloud, food, etc. I would've checked otherwise at the time but the person had said that he had not summoned a cloud/etc.

  There you go then.
  
  You can also tell that they did summon a cloud or use enduring melody if their Protection is not exactly 0. If it says something like 10 or whatever, then they definitely used both of those buffs.

  I usually doubt what people claim their damage/stats are since they're presented at face value, especially if they're in the 2k Total mark. [S]I don't get how a 5xxx can have much less stats than 2ks.[/S]
