  Dear Players,
  
  
  We will be performing scheduled maintenance on all servers on Thursday, October 10, 2013. During this time the game will be unavailable. Maintenance will start at 6:00 AM Pacific, and is scheduled to last approximately 5 hours.

  I would assume it means exactly what it says - They're pushing the restart button on each server and calling it a day.
  
  Attendance check doesn't end till the 22nd, expecting we'll get anything of note before then is pure optimism.

  They usually mention these fixes when they happen. If the enlightenment patch is anything to go by - we might even be getting patch notes from now on, which would be awesome.
  
  I don't think they can fix lag without overhauling the game engine.

  I have to concur. On the level of a three part reveal (even though we more or less already know) or similar like Korea did.
  
  But they can still slip (more) stuff into the patch without activating it.

  That's probably just be the servers aren't back to peak load and sluggishly struggling along like they will be after a few days of load and memory leaks.
