We've all been there. Facing a whole new region we knew nothing about. Now unless you were a Pokepro on your very first day (coughliarcough), you'd have that one region that takes you longer than usual to complete. Even if you're in the whole "MLG Pokemon" group who does nothing but nature farm and EV train all day...

The first versions of Kanto and Johto, simply because I was young and new to the games. Once 3rd gen hit I knew exactly what I was doing. Since the poll includes the remakes for their respective regions, I won't vote.

I chose Johto just because Clair was the bane of my early days (and still is today). I always picked Typhlosion and her Kingdra would always be a giant pain.

Damnit I typed and then voted like a dumbass.. *retypes*
I choose Hoenn. <w< I just never found decent spots to train before the Elite Four in Ruby and Sapphire. Of course Emerald was mega-easy. Rayquaza before the Elite Four and all <w<.. anyone else agree, or did I just not know where to look? o3o

I commend you for not complaining about the water routes like many others.
Best spot to train in Hoenn is Meteor Falls with the Old Couple and Dragon Tamer after getting Waterfall. Other than that, the desert route's two Ace Trainers near the healing house is also good for mid-game.

Whitney's fucking Miltank though. That thing was a monstrosity back then.

Miltank and the Elite Four of Johto take the cake for me.
I've died a good amount to both because of how difficult they were for me back in the day.

I have to give it to Kalos myself. 27 hours into my adventure and I only have 2 badges. So many wild Pokemon to hunt down and catch. Dx

I would say Hoenn is the most difficult region for me, and second being Johto.
I had most troubles with Glacia from Elite Four in Hoenn, and I had trouble with several gym leaders from Hoenn as well..
I would say Kalos is probably the easiest region. Why? Because of Super Training, and you also can level your Pokemons pretty easily.

Oh.. haha, thank you. xD I could give a nasty remark about there being
three water HMs, though. <w< Not that it was new at that point in time, but damn is that ever annoying.

Kanto. Had no idea what I was doing anywhere. I didn't know anything. Everything was new. It was the first game I ever played that wasn't Mega Man.
