This thread will be updated with the official information once it's released on the site (assuming that nobody deems it lock-worthy in the meantime), but it was released on facebook and youtube by them, so it's still "official", but I know what you mean.

  What are you talking about? The facebook page and twitter are extensions of Mabinogi announcements so technically it is an official announcement by nexon if it is posted on their facebook. They are "announcing" to the public by their official facebook page.

  I don't think this is the first time something has been posted here from being on facebook/twitter/nexon forums only. There have been events that are only announced on their facebook actually, but usually just previews and stuff like this.

  What about role reversal of that then?

  I'm laughing at how I see many people saying "oh, we're probably never gonna get this event" when it was announced shortly after release in KR.
