  I remember that one. I wonder why there aren't more touhou fans dedicated to cosplay. If the small amount of western people willing to do this can make a full samus cosplay

  I'm pretty sure thousands of asians who do this for a living can make a spray painted plastic and rubber tubing Satori 3rd eye instead of cardboard.

  Is there anything similar to this touhou series that is...ummm...er...how do i put it...? Less directed to girls? I know there is a flash game called frantic that's similar, except it has ships instead of flying girls. Is there any kind of game that's like that? No offenses to touhou, I just want to play something that doesn't draw weird looks from the people in my house.

  Its called Shmups. Thats the genre for the massive bullet hell games.
  
  As far as I can tell, Touhou is 100% directed at a male audience. And MOST of these games will feature mostly female characters.
  I mean, just look at Trouble Witches. Or Triggerheart Exelica. All females.
  
  Raiden is probably America's most well known shmup, but its casual as hell.
  
  Ikaruga is pretty insane. You might like it.

  Ahhh I remember now that in the old Mabiguru, someone requested the alternate version of Touhou 12th, Unidentified Fantastic Object's Final Boss, Byakuren's theme. (Aka, Emotional Skyscraper).
