Muted sound. ï¼ˆâ”¬â”¬ï¼¿â”¬â”¬ï¼‰

After a clean re-install of Mabinogi, my audio in-game seems to be muted.

What i've already checked:
- Audio settings (volume mixer) from my taskbar/desktop. (Mabinogi is not muted on the volume mixer, nor is anything else.)
- In-game volume settings. (Neither of which are muted/set to anything near low.)
- Checked to make sure I have all the MP3 files. (Which I do.)
- 2 clean re-installs of the client.
If anything, the current audio settings I have are the same as when I used to play. (Where I was able to hear the audio on the same settings.)

Any help or additional suggestions to try would be appreciated, thanks in advance !

Have you changed any other settings / installed new programs before it happened?

Do the sounds from other applications work while running Mabi? (e.g. Windows Media Player)

Also make sure your audio card is up-to-date (though I suppose it is).
Someone suggested doing alt+enter (fullscreen/windowed) twice, not sure if that still works.

I had this problem too. Only way i could play with sound is through steam install :/

According to a thread on the Nexon forums, there's a "system" folder in the Mabinogi directory missing. Try and get a trusted friend to send you their "system" folder?

This resolved the issue for me, thanks to everyone who gave suggestions !
