Is the crit path or damage path better for this bow? Also would a blue or red upgrade stone be better? Also, I'm planning to enchant the bow with Glorious and Sniping. Would those be good?
Please do not deviate by saying the Highlander Bow would be better in all ways, I should change out my wing bow for a HLB, or that I should ego my wing bow. I'm only concerned about the wing bow since I want to use that. If I wanted a HLB I would have gotten one instead.
Thanks for any input.

Well, since we are on wing bow only discussion. The wing bow imo is only good as an ego but there are better choices. I'm sorry idk how else to say it. It's slower to get higher damage so it costs you more money than someone with another ego to get the same damage. (even though I own a wingbow ego purely for aesthetic) But it really doesn't matter overall so the wingbow ego isn't really a bad choice as its trading in a bit of damage for aim speed and range.
Anyways if upgrading it may as well go for crit because max damage on that is just stupid imo.
around 300 damage max always go red upgrade. But if you dont see yourself hitting 300 max anytime soon go blue but if you see it possible go red as an early investment

I'm told Thorn Lotus is a better alternative to Sniping due to it's much lower repair cost (Sniping is x7, compared to 40% on Thorn Lotus), as well as a less variable roll. (12~20 on sniping vs 15.5~17.6 Thorn Lotus)
You're better off doing 128 on the wiki for utility, the highest range. That 5 max over the highest max dmg isn't a lot to miss, especially since you don't seem to care about damage, otherwise you'd have gotten a HLB. Critical can be gained from a lot of other places than the weapon so imo it's not as big an issue to even worry about. Even the lowest crit isn't that bad.

Huh, range would be good for rafting or just in general, but if I red stone it wouldn't I want more chances to hit a crit? Also, what about a fancy enchant instead of Thorn Lotus? Two rank 5 enchants seem risky to put on.

Red upgrade doesn't increase crit rate, it increases crit damage. Your crit rate is capped at 30 percent.

Yeah, but eventually from skills you gain enough of it that crit no longer really becomes a huge focus on crit enchants with no max dmg/other stats or upgrades anymore. Glorious Thorn Lotus will give you 11% crit more anyway.
Fancy is a good non-risky replacement, but Thorn Lotus is better even at its lowest dex roll. It will also give you a bit of critical while fancy does not.
Also, I say go for the range because that's what Wing Bows do best compared to the other bows, 100 more range than a Highlander.

If you're gonna use Thorn Lotus, put it on a HLB instead. I personally wouldn't waste any money on a wingbow since a HLB is better anyways. And as Pallie said, they're better for ego purposes.

If you're actually gonna use a wing bow, don't even go for high-cost enchants or grindy enchants in general.
Like Tarvos said, the best upgrade would really be the utility upgrade, as crit is too easy to get, and max damage upgrade is lol on wing bow.
For enchants, just put on wolf hunter's and fancy. They're easy to get and easy to put on, and cheap. The fact that you chose wing bow tells me you don't care too much about damage at this point anyways. But do try to get a HLB with lion hunter's thorn lotus later on.
What the utility upgrade allows you to do is faster aiming thanks to the range, meaning you probably won't miss magnum as much.
And since we already mentioned than damage is lol on wing bow, blue upgrade is a stupid option. With good enough set and decent amount of dex, your damage should be over 320, past the point where you really should be starting to use red.

Based on what I'm reading, a Range path with red ups is the best thing to do on a wing bow. Probably will do that, thanks.
About the HLB, honestly I may get one eventually...but after I accumulate 1-3m from commercing / dailies after a while. For now I'm not even going to consider it.

Use a Highlander Long B-

Oh.
Well, I guess the Max Damage path. Crit is only so good up to a certain point and crash shot ignores protection, anyway.
Unless this is for PvP or something, in which case just ego it or go for the range.
If cost is some kind of concern, then just get a leather long bow. Special upgradable, cheap repairs, and you can probably pick up a high graded one from carpentry for the same price or cheaper then a wing bow. Sports more max damage and the same range if you don't get the range upgrades.

Are you elf or human.
It matters.
