If Nation can't be hosted any longer for whatever reason, there's still [s]this[/s], just don't go to that place.
Also, is the No-Ads upgrade really a big difference? [S]I only got it because I wanted a different color username to show off[/S].
I've made him the same offer three years running, every time this comes up, and have experience (and references) for this sort of transition/situation, and a working relationship with Nexon.
He's always claimed to not be ready yet.
Eventually it comes down to the following possibilities:
1) He changes nothing.
2) He sells the site for the most possible profit.
3) He sells or gives the site to whomever he thinks he will run it most the way he'd want it ran.
4) He shuts the site down.
5) He attempts to change site focus with unpredictable results.
Everything depends on what his strongest motives regarding the site and his life at any given time are.
So far he's been grumpy periodically but still cherishes the site enough to be unwilling to let go and risk losing what he enjoys about it. That could continue indefinitely, or one of the other options may swing into higher focus.
I am just hoping he doesn't randomly swing into a rage tantrum and wipe the place the way Adura did Sleepywood. That was a tragic waste.
I'm surprised nobody's thought of a conspiracy theory that splat posts this then suddenly Ashi posts that we can buy pets over Halloween and stuff.

Well if he does you're all welcome on Southperry, but I don't think it's a very high risk, really.
This is all really rash. We don't need this small concern of sustainability to turn in to a falling sky discussion, especially this early.
To an extent. A chunk of traffic on nation is built up by regular visitors, most of which end up buying the no-ads upgrade.
I'd rather not go to Sp, their userbase is mildly ignorant, and is full of elitism.
