Hello,

With the newly visible ban definitions and durations, we wanted to give a number of players a second chance in MapleStory. We all make mistakes so hopefully some of these players will take this opportunity to positively contribute to the great community we already have. In some circumstances, we will be going as far as awarding players with Maple Points during an upcoming patch. Please keep in mind that these unbanned accounts will be monitored for a period of time. Any inappropriate behavior or actions will result in account closure. An e-mail has been sent to the players whose accounts have been unbanned.

Please keep providing all the great feedback so we can continue to improve the game.

For the first one, there was a few waves of unfair bans. This was a necessary step. They banned a lot of their high end players which probably reduced their income drastically.

For the second one, I refuse to believe in nexons fake care for maplestory any longer. They have pulled plenty of stunts similar to this one before, and nothing comes of it. If it gets anywhere, nexon korea usually puts a stop to it. This will probably be the case for these as well.

If they actually listen instead of just putting on a show like they normally do, then it's a very good step in the right direction, but it has been way too long for something like this to happen anyway.

Their pattern with maplestory seems to be the typical "one step forward two steps back". There's examples of this throughout maplestory history, like waves of (proper) bans and illicit item deletion. After that happens they just go back to their normal way and mess everything up in the next couple patches.

I feel like this thread is worth reviving (or at least posting in again) due to the fact that maplestory has responded to the "A better maple" inquiry. The official results are posted here.

I have not been able to read all of them (nor do I want to), but after reading quite a few after sorting from highest to lowest rated, I can say that these were exactly the answers I was expecting. They promote almost no change to maplestory for the better, and just explain their actions, or CLAIM to be looking in to it. I also believe some of them have terrible reasoning for their actions. The only true changes are what were already brought by the RED patch that were probably going to happen regardless of this campaign.

I don't like this because the cash shop inventory itself is basically limitless, and all nx clothing can be stored there. Inventory space? Really? The last sentence has already been going on as well, with isolated choices of decorative items. Even if they do make the entire cash shop permanent for an event for a while, their initial reasoning for not having it permanent from the start is ridiculous.
