Post (once) in this thread and when the event is over your gold amount will be transformed to a random number between 2,000 and 10,000, without being able to go lower than what you currently have.
If you have more than 10,000 then you don't need to be whoring yourself out for gold so you'll only get 1,000 added to your account.

But considering that the Eevees are only here until the 15th, it would probably be wiser to get the gold from these events, buy the Eevees, then start saving up for account upgrades, which are always in the shop. D:
