Alright, so here's the deal.
Do you all want the End of the Year Awards or not?
To be completely and utterly honest, you guys are lucky this question is even being brought up after last year. If it wasn't for the fact that this award ceremony has been a tradition, I would tell you all that it's a solid no. That's how badly a lot of you reacted about the awards last year. It was completely rude, and if it happens again this year (if it's a yes), none of the mods will tolerate it-and if Osay approves I will gladly ban you. We're not going to dedicate our time into doing the awards, for free, if you all are going to act like a bunch of assholes.
So yeah. Yes or No?
If it's a yes, expect there to be some rules. If it's a no, well then that's fine.

I say no because it ends up as a popularity contest most of the time.

Woah woah woah.
What happened last year?

Well it is an award by the community for the community type of thing.
You'll always see cliques voting for their pals and whatnot.

Sure I guess.

People griping about the winners, people voting for others as a joke with the intention to actually make fun of them, people being rude in general. There was a thread with more deleted posts than undeleted, if I remember correctly.

I will have to go with an "No".

I vote no. I don't believe it's worth the drama it has, and inevitably will cause.

No. Not worth the time or effort.

I'll vote yes because the tradition are nice to have and this is one of the few things we keep.
However, rules will have to be kept but just saying no one gives a gripe about the winners will be fine by itself or no one complains about the results.
Honestly, one bad behavior doesn't mean it will repeat. How about the past "good behavior" of the end of the year awards? Does that mean that one bad year cancels out the other years when people were cordial to each other? I truly believe Nation can handle it, but some of us are too scared to let it happen but I feel with full confidence we can have a good end of the year awards for 2013.
And if you're worried about the rewards, I discussed it and the KR Test Team will handle the awards (creating the images and ask Osayidan to implement) and if the moderators feel they need help, the KR Test Team will volunteer over the end of awards voting and ceremony.
I feel like those who worked hard needs recognition and as a traditional, I will be interested in making it happen. I would like to personally volunteer myself to make it happen.
But the question is, will you allow us the chance to make it happen? =)

Neutral on this issue currently.

I wouldn't mind having it. But I honestly have no right to say anything on the subject. I'm still harshly reminded of the 3 day ban from the drama that occurred during that.
All I can do is apologize for my behavior last year and leave it at that.

If you decide to host the awards please heavily limit the number of award categories.

I say yes, but make posting in the threads very strict.
But yeah, it's pretty much a popularity contest.

I'm pretty neutral in regards to these awards, but I suppose it is nice to keep holding a tradition that has been maintained for years(?), if I recall correctly.
I personally would love to see it again and mostly, hope that it doesn't end in a catastrophe. Some of the nominations were pretty neat last year, though. I found some of them rather unexpected.
I would be lying if I said I didn't think it was a popularity contest, but even so, I hold no enmity against anyone with friends voting for them in that regard. To me, voting for each other like that is formality between friends, if anything at all. I suppose it ruins the 'fairness' of it to some, though.
I think it is too minuscule to create a dilemma over any popularity contest anyways, especially in regards to what had occurred with the nominations and such last year where there it seemed like it turned into outright bullying.
Hopefully that doesn't happen this year. Best of luck to everyone if everything goes smoothly, though. x]

*cough* On a more serious note, I am currently neutral on this as well, merely because I'll probably end up questioning the way these things are decided.
We'll see what happens.
