  So you are saying just like knife is not responsible for the death of a person, neither should a book that teaches people to torture children be responsible for children tortured due to its content... I don't know, something doesn't quite feel the same here.

  pretty much.
  While I do personally think the author is a dumbass and that book shouldn't exist, blaming the author for the actions of others just doesn't work. It would be like blaming any other violent book, videogame, movie, martial arts teacher, military trainer (and the list goes on) for the actions taken by people who experienced them.
