Question, is there a way to block Private Messages from certain members?
I only ask because there's a person on nation that I'd rather not have contacting me and don't want to be notified that they are contacting me. Is this just not possible and I'll just have to auto delete any pm I see from said person?

Could select the "only from contacts and moderators" options, tho I doubt that's the answer you were looking for

That does solve the problem sort of but not in the way I'd like. As I would love to recieve pm's from other people not in my contacts that I don't know yet. There's just some people I'd rather not interact with if possible

Hmm... have you tried the ignore list?
If it work like it should for almost all forums... it should block the user from sending you PMs if you have them on ignore list.

Well it's a weird situation. I do want to see their posts, I just don't want to interact with them. Would adding them to the ignore list allow me to see their posts but not get PM's from them? At this rate it's sounding like I should just auto delete them and have some self restraint and not bother opening the messages.

If you're on the normal ignore mode instead of advanced then you get a "view post" button where their posts would normally be.
Not much more control than that over PMs though.

Hmm, all righty. I'm guessing an extension it out of the question as well in that regards.

It's possible that admins can block the person in question from PMing all together...but that wouldn't be fair the person.

Maybe you could just not respond? They'll give up if you don't reply.
Or maybe you could just ask them to stop

You can't just ask somebody to stop doing something.
Maybe you can, but not everyone can.

it depends, is this person speaking to you with ill intent?
If not it's rude to just block someone without and explanation of why
If it were me if prefer them to be upfront and honest and ask me to stop than just down right blocking me
It's pretty easy to ask someone to stop and if you refuse to than that's your own damn fault if you're afraid of hurting their feelings I'm pretty sure it's going to be hurt either way
Disregard if these PMS are harassment

You don't get that not everyone will be like "oh okay i'll stop."
Some people won't stop. They will never stop.
The only way to make them stop would be to collect their PM's and use them as evidence to get the person banned.

If you ask them to stop and they refuse you report them for harassment
You seem to assume that kings little pest is malicious
If the guy annoys or disturbs him than the best course of action it to be upfront and honest with the person
If the person refuses the mods will make this person stop whether they like it or not.
