Firefox Configurations and Addons for Performance?

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. Yeah,
the cat usually has multiple tabs open to browse various things
but it takes a toll on the computer's resources.

Need firefox confirgurations and addons that limits the demanding firefox and its addons.

I don't really like chrome, because it doesn't show custom fonts on websites.

It's very comparable to Firefox in terms of speed for the cat.
The cat knows the addons for Firefox really well like Speed dial.

I use both browsers. Chrome for instabrowser (Firefox can take a minute to load sometimes >_>) and Firefox for main browsing when I have tons of tabs, I have a really handy extension called MileWideBack that's the biggest reason from keeping me away from using only Chrome. I'm hoping Firefox 4 will make me come back to one browser since having seperate histories is annoying when I'm trying to find a page.

This addon might help to lower resources use. Memory Fox

Lowering the number of addons you use will also speed up the browser.

Enough for me to notice the difference when reloading a bunch of tags, since it isn't trying to load them all at once. Also has a bunch of other things I don't pay attention to.
