And it almost had a surprisingly depressing ending, watching Lorule crumble. The game's end gives a couple pretty interesting tidbits of insight into the overall Legend of Zelda Triforce lore:
-The Triforce exists because it's what the gods of old used as a foundation for creating the world.
-The Triforce can be completely destroyed, but doing so causes the world to slowly be annihilated.
-There are technically two Triforces, with a total of 6 pieces.
-One Triforce can be used to recreate the other if it's destroyed.
Based on these, one could predict the storyline of a future game, E.G.: Main villain succeeds in seeking out and destroying Hyrule's Triforce to destroy the world, Link and co. must embark to Lorule to use its Triforce to resurrect Hyrule's to save the world from destruction, but in doing so, are forced to open the path for the main villain to try and destroy Lorule's Triforce as well.
