  My laptop is pretty old and whenever I start Mabinogi it tells me my videocard may cause the game to have issues and if I still wanna continue. Obviously I always click yes. No issues with it that I've ran into, but I get why it gives a warning.
  
  I can run on pretty high graphics but it causes a lot of lag, hence I have it all set to the lowest settings. But my videocard IS able to display better. Then again, this is a laptop that I used to game on too years ago. I then got a better one, and played the very same MMO I used to play back then on it, with the very same graphic settings in the game as I used to have on the old one, and everything looked a lot more crisp, smooth and brighter.
  
  I had to go back to this old laptop since the other one passed away and eventhough it was strong for gaming it was a piece of trash anyways that overheated after 5 minutes. Well, enough about my laptops histories, but yeah.
  
  What I mean is, in my experience Mabinogi is pretty low spec. It just looks and works faster on a better computer/graphic card, but it is not impossible to play it on an ancient laptop, since I do that just fine.
  
  Still, ever since a few days it takes ages to load into character screen, but once in game everything runs smooth. I find this sort of strange and wonder why exactly this happens to apparently a lot of people.

  That message will always pop up on Laptops because Laptop have the onboard default graphics and the actual video card.

  I see your points, and I agree. Things do take way longer to load on this laptop. It's annoying and all, but I am still able to play, though it is a lot less comfortable than it would have been with better specs.
  
  To be honest, maybe I am too used to this slow thing now, someone else would have probably stopped playing with the way Mabi works on this laptop. So when I say Mabi works fine on this laptop it's probably working rather shitty for people that are used to running it on a better system haha.
  
  And from what I can deduct is that getting a better graphic card will probably solve most of the lag issues, at least in my case.

  Because my so called main "lag" issue consists of the game simply going unresponsive mode right in the middle of battle, because my processor can't handle it at times. I can get it to work again by clicking activate in task manager or waiting a minute or two though, finding myself dead of course. This happens very rarely after I cleaned out my fan again though.
  
  It would be very helpful if they updated their system requirements accordingly at any rate.

  Even if an onboard default one is really good? That's kind of bad though, seeing as I can see people who aren't too techy not daring to continue and so on Mabinogi misses out on more possible players.

  Oh yeah.. when you wanna play that badly.. you live with a lot of things. xD I started Mab on a freaking desktop from '05 or perhaps a little earlier. 512MB of RAM.. hell I don't even remember the processor but it was Pentium probably, and no graphic card until Mab -demanded- it. xD
  I remember waiting for Tara to load so badly while I was trying to simply CC and get to the auction while already in the town.. flying through it took over an hour, no joke.
  I put up with a lot for this game. xD You do get used to it for sure.. but the death would still piss me off. x3 Needless to say, I'm thankful for what I have now. xP

  16gb of RAM
  AMD Radeon 7600 (or 7700) (can't completely remember)
  8 core AMD processor. (Irrelevant due to how mabi works.)
  Windows 7 OS
  
  Thing to note is i use extremely minimal mods, no Abyss, just a few animation deletions and replacements.
  
  Planning to upgrade to 32GB ram when i feel slowdown via memory.
  
  Built it with a fairly larger budget than most people.
  
  
  Before this new nexon guard, i would crash after afking for a day, now i can afk in peace.
  
  I feel like i should upgrade, friend tells me he can do a full raid with 30-40 people and not go below 60FPS, i call bullshit.

  Exactly. It's not like I have any other choice than to play it like this, other than not play it at all. And that sounds like you had it way worse than it is for me, though at times the game freezes up for several minutes when I enter a place such a Tara. And yeah haha, even when I don't die, I get pissed when my character ven gets hurt outside of my power. I feel like I fail in combat whereas I should have easily been able to pwn them if I did not lag/freeze up so much. It can be frustrating. Yet I carry on.
  
  I know I will be really grateful too by the time I can afford a better working system. People will probably think I suddenly gotten a lot stronger in gam. LMAO No, I just don't lag anymore guys. Ah, someday. *Dreams on* xD

  Yeah I haven't tried raids with it yet so I can't say anything there, but.. xD
  I'm curious about the clock speed of your processor per core, because other than that, I have a slightly better video card, but only half the RAM (which by the way, unless you're running tons and tons of things at the same time, I don't think you really even need as much as 16, let alone 32 xD), and I can run with full graphics and the only thing that takes any time now is.. Tara still haha. About 5 seconds of client inactivity, that just can't seem to be avoided. Maybe if I removed the buildings again it wouldn't take that long, but~ that's the only thing anywhere so I can deal with it. xD It's almost like playing another game with everything in effect.. you might wanna try it. xP

  Oh man I used to feel that exact same way.. Stuff that shouldn't be able to hurt me got in cheap shots all the freaking time.. it pissed me off. xD Furthermore because I was always the type of player who favored speed and power over defenses, so I was strong enough to take out whatever I was facing, but if I lagged and got hit, it was almost guaranteed death. Then stupidly coincidentally, the defense boosting patch comes out and now I've got like 80 defense unequipped while I don't have anymore lag either. :I But I digress. xD
  And I can tell you.. once lag is no longer a factor, you are going to feel stronger xD and to boot, you'll have better, more enjoyable means of -getting- stronger as well. Look forward to it. :3
