Saw not one topic about this so gonna make this topic. This game when it comes out will replace every single MMO I am playing right now. Gonna drop everything cold turkey and just devote myself to this game.

Want a space sim that will allow you to do anything at all? Want a space sim that will delight you and just as quickly crush you? Do you want to command a carrier as you are beset by enemy ships? Issuing commands to your fighters as they blast from your hangar? Or do you want to be a merchant, trusting your life to your hired guards while escaping from an ambush set up by bandits? Or instead would you rather explore new realms and push the envelope farther than it has gone before? Whatever you do is up to you. But just remember: you have that choice.

I would go on but I just want to throw you a small tidbit. A tiny morsel if you will.

I want to be excited like I'm excited for starbound and project NT and I guess I am excited for this but.. I really do hope that these developers can actually pull off these promises and make every feature have the amount of depth that will hold me longer than till I just reach the endgame..

I always get wary of kickstarter stuff due to how past fundings have gone.

You need to check the pledge on this one Aubog, This one got 35 million backing already. Yeah 35 MILLIONS. This game is also from the creator of Freelancer, Wing Commander - Christ Roberts. It's not some greenhorn project, rather it's the brain child from the godfather of Space Sims. I mean sure he can still over budget, but there is no chance that this game will turn out badly. Frankly even if he uses up 35 fucking millions, at this point I am sure publisher would back this no question asked.

This is the one that I got.

Also the amount of money being raised for this game is just going up. I wouldnt be surprised to see this number hit like 38~40 mil by the end of this month.

I mean in turns of quality, there are plenty of high profile games with a lot put into it that was either A. Too far ahead of it's time, or B. shitty quality. Or the very rare C. Took too long to develop and the quality becomes dated.

Idk, im just abnormally hesitent on this game, seems great though.
Maybe I should do more research on it, but it reminds me a lot about believing in developer expectations, which is why a former person at Lionhead is now laughed at.
All his talk about Fable and he was arguably the father of God Games, and that went so well for him.

Which is why i approach this with hesitation and skepticism even though it looks great.

You mean Peter Molyneux? He had a bad track record of not keeping promises he made in a game, in fact he is infamous for it. He is a special case.

Yes, i know, that was the point i made, he had a good track record with games before he made fable, after fable, he became a joke, that's what i was trying to make here, if this guy doesn't pull through, deja vu.
