Has anyone seen it? I stopped following the anime since end of Advanced Generation. But one day I came across this show on youtube and by god... It's actually good! The animation really stepped up, and characters are actually likable. I really hope Ash manage to win the pokemon league this season... Pokemon master's journey doesn't end at becoming champion, besides he won the orange league didn't he? And the battle frontier.

...But then Ash appeared and I went "NOPE. Not watching this."

Apparently the Pokemon Anime cannot let go of Ash and his Pikachu for some reason. Is Ash and his Pikachu that popular or is it just the Pikachu that makes it popular?

I think the real reason why they can't kick out Ash and Pikachu is because of the voice actors and actresses. Would be a hassle to rotate every season.

It will still be a shame to not watch the show because it has Ash, Pikachu and the annoying Team Rocket. The animation improved since BW, and some episodes are really good.

Ash is actually not that bad this season. I know in the first episode, but they made him cooler right after. He reminds me of Advanced Generation Ash, focused, determined and actually competent.

Serena I don't... actually like, they are pushing for a shipping too much for my taste. I do like Clemont and Bonnie though, Bonnie is just adorable, and Clemont is a really great support, they fleshed out his dream and hope in episode 9, made me really care about him, those two are the best supporting characters in the series imo.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm so glad they changed that. I probably never would have gotten into Pokemon if Clefairy had been the mascot, that thing is so stupid looking.

Which is why Clefairy is one of the few pokemons with a dark counterpart.

There's a special around Christmas time which recapped a few of the previous episodes and also showed a small segment of Gym leaders battling...I wonder what that was about.

i actually really love the X and Y anime, hahaha
it seems a lot more well-thought out, the characters are very likeable, and the animation has improved so much, in my opinion
i really thought that Best Wishes wasn't that good, i only watched it because of Cilan, since hes probably my favorite character in the whole entire series <3 (though i HATE Iris with a burning passion)
