then there's really no point to playing anymore, is there
that's a pretty literal End Game
same can be said for Johny's definition.. what's the point of even playing if you've got nothing left to do eh
Most of us have varying definitions of end-game and I understand that. The reason why I said most of you guys sell yourself short when saying that end-game= maxed out stats/skills is because getting to that stage is relatively easy now. Granted it still takes a lot of effort and time. However acquiring APs to train skills, doing dungeon for enchants, and buying yourselves reforges couldn't get any easier nowadays (unless Nexon decides to implement a feature that spoon-feeds people this stuff, at which point...).
Anyways, back when I first started playing mabinogi, I made the decision to create the best mage character I could make (Rank 1 all magic skills and int as high as i could get it). Having accomplished that I am satisfied, and have been for the last 3 years. The main reason I continue playing nowadays is because I still have contacts in mabinogi. I still enjoy dungeon/ mission raids with my guildies and friends. That to me is more enough reason why to continue logging in. That aside however, I could say I can retire happily from mabinogi right now this instant without a shadow of a doubt.
So again, everyone's definition for end-game varies greatly. Some will be content with the most basic of achievements; others don't stop until they have the absolute best of everything this game has to offer. I am one of those that accept basic achievements. I have achieved my personal goals, and now only looking for the next fun event with my guild and friends.
...Although I will say this, If this was a console game with a completion gauge, I'd probably try my best for 100% completion rate.
