Giant one handed melee weapons

  What's the best one-handed giant melee weapon (including human 2h) that a giant can wear alongside a shield? I'm torn between the Highlander Claymore, the Dragon Fang and The sword of the goddess.

  If you're planning on using a shield as a giant, you should only look at Two Handed Swords because they're just better in terms of enchant access and damage.
  
  So in that point the best weapon to use with a shield is arguably the Dragon Fang. If you land Max Roll with the Artisan Upgrade it can reach a Max Damage of 120.
  
  The Sword of the Goddess isn't too great because, if I calculated right, it can only reach a Max of 89.
  
  Highlander Claymore is decent and it gets a Max of 108. That's just -12 Max compared to Dragon Fang, and also it has higher Critical Rate (29%) than Dragon Fang's measly 6% Critical rate if that matters for you.
  
  Also you may also want to consider Demonic Death Penalty Blade. Despite what people say about this sword, it's fairly great if you obtain Max Roll on Artisan. You can get a Max of 113 and also it has very high critical rate.
  
  If you can't really "choose" I'll just say that it really doesn't matter which one you use. They're all great swords especially for Giants+Shields.
  
  Edit: I forgot about Bhafel Slayer (probably because it's extremely rare due to scarce materials/dragon huntings). It's more or less the "endgame" Two Handed Sword if you manage to get an 81 Base Max created. That plus Level 2 Piercing almost makes it a Lance.
  
  One more thing: Giant Only Swords are categorized as One Handed Weapons so if you're looking for damage, don't use them. That goes for other one handed weapons. Two Handed Swords are the best for Giant+Shield (excluding Lance).

  because 120 max damage is better than easymode elemental 6+ with r1 gacha hlcs right?
  
  OP if you decide to go for HLC, wait for gacha, buy a fuckload of r1 HLCs for 100-200k, and just spam stamp > croc on them. The one that survives that, enchant protect and put lich (or spam math for necromancer since that's a lot better for giants) and then spam reforges on that crap till it gets a decent elemental.

  Well Giants are number one in close-combat (regardless of fighter or warrior) and late game they can still use dual guns too.
  Did you know Giants have the highest Str+Int among all races? Arguably the best if you are planning to do lance/dual guns...

  For the general answer when it comes to melee or melee skills and gunner is arguable. Giants>humans>elves when it comes to melee skills.
  
  That doesn't mean a human or elf can't make an effective meleerer. There is no best anything. You can be anything you want *excluding archer giants(snicker)* You have made a ton of threads asking which is better, just play what you find fun and then that will be the best for you. Again I say happy holidays to all

  The attack speed doesn't matter when you're spamming skills.
  
  People use giants because they have very high damage output in melee, including fighter. It just depends on how people wanna play the game.

  This is actually arguable, but not in his favor. xD The faster, less stun weapons apply to when something is knocked down, and they get up quicker when they take hits, even from skills, with those faster weapons. So really, the slower weapons should be the focus.
  
  But all in all, people play what they want and how they want. It's better to run through something enjoying yourself than pandering to the latest trend or reaching the highest damage and etc. Just have fun. :P

  The mobs (or players if you are into pvp) get up quicker depending on when you hit in its down-gauge. The speed of weapon has no effect on this.

  I think what ironwomn is getting at is that attack speed doesn't matter when using wm, counter, smash, and charge which are all u should really be using (arguably defense and counter). Late game it's actually more detrimental to use normal attacks because a lot of late game mobs have ping and hitting with normal can completely screw u up when smash or wm still gets the dmg and knock back dealt regardless of ping or not.
  
  @krito plz don't turn this thread into a race discussion thread when it wasn't warranted and is not needed. Make another thread if u really want an answer to your question (u won't get a true answer as much as a bunch of arguing...).

  Explain why they get up quicker after being -only- smashed with beam swords then please.
  The same mob being smashed with say, demon swords, and only being smashed, takes longer to get up.
  This technically would fit into neither of our logics if yours is right, so which seems more likely here?
  I'd also invite you to test it yourself rather than just going from what the wiki may say. I already know I don't have connection, graphical, or any real type of delay or lag in the game, and it always works out that if I get lazy with hitting assault slash after I smash something into deadly and don't notice right away, beam swords have them up before I can even do it, and demon swords leave enough time to get after them. And trust me, if I smash into deadly they're always 100% wounded, so this happens to me a lot, I've had very many occurrences of this to test out the theory.
