So with the release of singing being the main focus of the diva update, a large portion of people have ranked it to 1 or at least 5 by now. The question is, how are people using it? It pretty much goes without saying that people aren't bothering equipping instruments for lullaby, but what about the other skills? So let us put it to a vote, do you or do you not use instruments for buffs anymore.

I think people will still definitely be using instruments if not only for overture. The massive buff is enough to be worth taking the time to take out your weapon and use overture real quick before fighting something.

Considering I hit 48% overtures with my instrument atm.... Ya i still use it for buffs, but ill use singing for buffs whenever im too lazy to bring out my instrument and/or I dont feel like more max is really needed....

If I was a perfectionist, Instrument.
But as a Alchemist gunner, sining is sufficient enough.

Singing is good enough for me when im in battle.

I'll leave the instrument buffing to the dedicated bards.
My Allegro Lyre only gives 28.8 on normal plays, and I hardly think that 2.8 is worth my secondary equipment slot.
Plus I'm far too lazy to swap in my Lyre every minute or so.

26% is plenty for me.

40%+ damage boost on high level party is too good to pass up.

I enjoy using dischord but I think I'll be putting my instrument on hold for now.

You can't use Dischord, Enthralling Performance, or Fantastic Chorus without an instrument.

Ranked it to 5 just so I could run through things without having to constantly switch over to an instrument to overture and lullaby. And honestly, with a 25% normal play with song, there's really not much I can't breeze through with even my puppets, so anything above that is rather luxurious.

Why would u use enthralling outside of ranking?

It really depends on how much reforges your instrument has mainly...
My instruments don't really do very much since they don't have fancy reforges/enchants on it.

Depends on how badly I need that secondary slot and how lazy I am to constantly swap. The one advantage to the instrument is that it get buff from both singing and instrument playing.

Useful for gathering boars when I was training Meteor Strike. Beyond that, don't think there's much other benefit outside of team play (Mobs under enthralling can be dealt extra damage than non enthralling mobs)

Puppet rules all, so why the heck you need a 2nd weapon.
