question for those who play vindi and mabi (possible spoilers?)

Actually, vindictus is supposed to be a prequel to mabinogi. Which is why there are similar npc's. The story however got skewed due to the fact that vindictus is an mmo and continues to grow and evolve. But the end of vindictus is when all the fomors are defeated and everyone is taken to paradise (tir na nog). Eren is however where the survivors are taken instead due to the fact that tir na nog failed or w/e.

Similar NPCs doesn't prove anything. DevCAT could have simply just reused them. Like Clodagh in Mabinogi runs a bank and in Vindictus she's obsessed with clothing, and Shayla in Mabinogi is Owen's babysitter while in Vindictus she has a thrill for treasure hunting and knowledge seeking.

There is no proof that the setting in Vindictus is Tir Na Nog, nor that their survivors were actually taken to another world. Also:

There's too many similarities in both games to deny that the 2 games aren't connected. To say that the 2 games are completely separate is naive. The storylines have too much in common to deny they aren't connected. [SPOILER="zz"]And this is only strengthened when morrighan and cichol make an appearance in vindictus.[/SPOILER]

Well, let's see where similarities happen with both games.

[SPOILER="Similarities of Vindi and Mabi."]1: Glas in the past. We're shown how Glas's full power was and get an idea how much destruction they could wreak during said wars when they were used.
2. We find out Tieve becomes Morrighan and Keaghan becomes Cichol, which can prelude to how they were friends as stated in g15.
3. Legatus mentioned how the original 5 heroes didn't have the intention of fighting the dragons, but that fate lead them to it. They all started out as mercs and eventually became powerful enough to take on the dragons.
4. Let's not forget that where we currently are in Erinn IS Tir Na Nog. The area where Vindi takes place at is likely not where we currently are, but where everyone started. Remember the prophecy, when all fomors are eradicated, you'll be taken to Tir Na Nog.
5. Similarities continue with season 2 episode 4, go see that for yourself. [/SPOILER]

I bet those were Mabinogi's original plans for the hero chars before they decided to scrap it and needed a rehaul
