I don't even have a clue as to what's going on anymore. I recently got a new laptop as an early Christmas gift and it's a Toshiba Satellite with Windows 8, Intel Graphics, Direct X 11. My drivers are up to date apparently, too. The errors that I'm experiencing are having to do with (as I'm guessing) connectivity. The first error (which I sort of troubleshooted myself, though it still happens from time to time) was the ol' "Server Cannot Be Reached" issue. I can now log in, though it takes a decent amount of time for me to actually get further than the character select screen.
I have no idea why I'm lagging a ton with a new laptop. It's possibly to the point where just clicking a personal shop in Dunbarton causes me to get stuck. Funny thing is that I can see messages pop up in Guild Chat and respond to PMs, but I can't do anything else. I even attempted the Morrighan RP for G12, and I got stuck so I had to force-close the client. My internet connection is also fine, so I'm sure that can't be the problem.
*Please be informed that this never happened with my old laptop, which indeed ran on Windows 7. ALSO. I did my research (please don't assume that this was my first step of the 100-step process, I chose this as a last resort because all of the forum posts I went through did not address the same problem directly, and it was implied that all issues involving W8 were on Nexon's part).
Excuse the incoherency of this thread as I'm not feeling my best. I just have no clue what's happening and I was hoping someone would have a clue (as W8 has been out for a while now and I'm just started using it yesterday).
**This probably won't get looked at, but at least I put in my best effort as there's really nothing else I can do about it.
