CD key for windows live isn't working

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. A CD key I've used previously will not work when redownloading dark souls onto my new notebook. I'm using the same windows live account and everything, however the CD key gives me an error saying the key was used for another windows live account.

How do I re-obtain my key, or at the very least, get a new key?

Maybe it has some DRM where it can only be installed in one computer at a time?
