Facebook Freezing Up/Malware Assistance

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. It's pretty annoying and it doesn't really happen with any other website. It just says it's loading forever and won't let me do anything on it, not even scroll.

Also I have some malware on my computer but I can't get rid of it because it needs to be scanned at startup or something. (I used Spybot and got rid of over 40 malware/spyware/virus programs but the only one I can't get rid of is that). The Startup scan spybot uses always fails. It spents like 30-1 hour scanning and says it found one problem then it tells me it can only be done at start up and asks me if I want to schedule something next time I restart and the cycle begins anew.

But in all seriousness, either AVG or AVAST are a good choice.
Spybot search and destroy is good.
Malwarebytes is as well.
Try the latter, and then choose either AVG and AVAST.
That's my suggestion anyway.

Also, defrag your computer every now and again and run CCleaner.

I have AVAST, Spybot failed me. I'll run CC Cleaner and try Malwarebytes

Also rebooting does not fix it as it always comes back up.

I had this problem once. I fixed it by messing with some folder settings. Give me a second and ill edit this post with what i did.

My facebook problem was due to this. I would have "Waiting for static.ak(etcetc)" sitting forever on the bottom. I don't know if it's the same exact problem you have though.
