I have good internets and I lag on Mabinogi

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. Pick a test server in california, the ping will still be better than nexon's but it will show a more realistic latency.
You can have 1 Gbps or even 10, but it won't help with latency.

Either way I don't lag on NA that much if at all. My connection in KR isn't too bad either, while yes, there is some lag it's pretty playable.

Unfortunately options in the US for internet is pretty slim and we have pretty shitty internet structure as a country compared to other countries that are ages ahead of us.

Of course distance could also be a factor in that as North America is extremely spread out compared to countries like Japan, Singapore, and Korea.

Wow the difference in Ping for you vs me is double. TW Mabi sounds like it would have worked out a lot better for ya :/

If you want to pay money to lag less, you could probably use something like WTFast. Makes the game a lot more responsive, even though my connection is already decent.

I get around 35-40 mb/s locally. I think around 15-20 or so to California. I don't lag much, my main problem is the data limit. When you live in the middle of nowhere you have 2 options for internet.

1. Slow as dial-up satellite internet with a monthly data limit

2. Slightly faster satellite internet with a smaller data limit.

I have pretty terrible internet. I use a VPN and a few other things to make playing the game alright though.
