Regardless, most PUGs want 16k for anything that isn't Lakoria.

Mk1 has a limit of 17k because people are dumb. 15k is plenty for all the raids, but old habits die hard.

I can live with all of it, if they would just put the req on the party title instead of randomly kicking and wasting my time and making me feel bad.

If you got kicked right away they might've just been saving the spot for someone. ;o I haven't seen any reqs about 16k and honestly I haven't seen 16k for anything other than Kraken head and bark...

Well if its being saved, they should make the party private to avoid people joining or just invite the people that they want before they make the raid and then fill the rest with pugs.
I see ones without reqs alot, and then theres the random 16k+ min ones as well. It's good to have at least 16k so that you can feel like your not leeching, while at the same time able to bypass most of the parties with min att requirements.

Sometimes before the party's full, a guildie might randomly ask to join and due to the constant server lag, party invites take forever to show up/get processed so a pug may join the boat before the guildie can accept the invite and they have to get kicked. It's a hassle to have to remake the entire party for one person, especially with lag everywhere. Usually if I join a party at 7/8 and get kicked right away, I just assume it's due to the spot being saved.

I'd feel better if they at least told me before they kicked, its understandable to want to do something like that but it makes you feel bad if you just get kicked right away without any explanation as to why or to leave you guessing.

<16k is "leeching"? I hate boats that kick you for stuff like this, especially when they're full of pay2win people with +10 gear and lv70 or lv80 sets they did not farm. I look at a lot of these people and they have like Paladin lv 3-4, <150 titles, etc. They are all gear, no substance.
I main a Fiona, and I quit playing over a year ago until recently. I have an Ex. Shining Will set that I crafted back then, when it was the best thing out. It's all +5, with a +6 chestpiece and a +7 Sword Breaker. It's all got pretty good enchants for the time (Resilient, Stone, Nimble, Zeal, Rounded, etc). It's not terrible gear, it's just old bc I have not been back long enough to farm for a new set yet.
I'm working on a Nighthawk Set, including the sword. The sword alone will give me another 1500 ATK (base). Some better accessories will help too (I use Knight Shield Set now), as will more STR from the NH set. I'll get there soon, just not yet.
But I have over 300 titles, I have over 85k points in skills. I main a Fiona and I outlast most of these "stronger people" in raids bc I don't crumble like a leaf when I get hit. I offer utility, bc I can grab aggro and heavy stander, while the rest of the party lays on the DPS. I am often the last one standing in a raid, and I just wish I could carry more feathers. Because I always run out when these high-ATK scrubs inevitably die.
I am having flashbacks to when most of the Laghodessa raids were like "LANN ONLY". /rage

Well its not like those att requirements are unwarranted... The bosses have such high defense that without a certain amount of attack you will literally do almost no damage to them. There are a few requirements that are too high imo, but there is a limit to who you can let or should let in so that you don't wipe the party because there wasn't enough dps to kill the boss or taking an hour on a raid that you should be able to finish in 15 minutes. While utility is nice, without dps you will just end up being more of a burden to your party if you arent doing any real damage to the boss.
As for the pay2win part of your rant, its not difficult to reach 16k att without spending a single cent on the game you just need a bit of luck really. In the end I have seen people with over 20k att that never spent a dime on nx or bought nx with in game currency its just all about how good you are with the RNG.
Also, fiona isnt exactly that difficult in a battle of attrition since you can stack so much defense and block almost every attack anyways. I used to main fiona as well, and I felt it was pretty boring and uneventful because I could hide behind my shield as much as I wanted. However, if you are one of the top dps dealers AND never died as a fiona then I applaud you because you are doing a very very good job at that point.

So in general, people ask for at least 17k. My question is: How much is at least needed?

In general people actually ask for around 16k. As long as your att is over their defense you will do damage, however as u can see from the first page the more att you have the more damage you can do. 16k isnt actually that difficult to reach which is why it is a rule of thumb for alot of parties.
