Enchants for a Laertes's sword?

I'm looking at trying to make a Laertes viable. Before anyone asks, it's a for-fun thing as I really like the sword and will just switch to a two-hander if I really need power anyways, so please don't try to tell me what a bad decision it is or how it's going to cause the economic collapse of the Tarlach server.

What two enchants should I look at putting on it? I want to avoid massive spikes in repair cost if possible as this is mainly a weapon that I'm looking at using when I want some power but am not looking to go/pay all out. Any suggestions? I'd been thinking about something like Shadow Hunter Spike, but felt spike to be a bit underwhelming.

You're not going to get better than spike without paying a x2 repair cost with horn or dominator.

I wouldn't put shadow hunter spike. Reason? It's a sword that you have to buy from others, meaning with those enchants, you'd poof the sword easily, and you'd have to get another one. Best all around (and the most expensive repair option) is Goddess Caliburn, but I'd assume you don't wanna deal with 10x repair cost.

The much better option would be Lion Hunter's Tireless/Raven. Much easier enchanting, no repair cost modifier, easy enchants to get. No crit added, but who needs crit? Since this sword is only for fashion, you shouldn't try to use it in missions with randoms... they're just gonna hate you for doing no damage. Not stopping you from making it or not, since that's your choice. In general, this sword will never be viable, but if it's just for fun, I guess that's ok.

Just don't go for high rank enchants on this. Not worth poofing and rebuying the sword that you're just going to use "for-fun". Or enchanting in general.

I appreciate the fact that you guys are taking it seriously though. Didn't know that there wasn't better than spike without 2x repair fees - I think I'll stick with that, then. As far as prefixes, what should I look at?

Lastly, can 1h weapons reforge up past 10 max damage enhance? I got 10 on mine (rank 1) and can't seem to get any further. Haven't had any luck with elemental reforges either :(

I already told you Lion Hunter's for prefixes.
And for suffixes, it's not that there are better things than spike, it's just that there are close enough ones.

Don't enchant protect this sword. It's simply not worth it, especially for the process you have to go through. You'd have to protect just for stamp, then spike, then shadow hunter's... you're most likely going to lose more than 70 bucks on this. Definitely not worth it for a not serious weapon. That's why I said Lion Hunter's Tireless/Raven. The money that you're planning to spend on enchant protection is much better spent on reforges or getting a real weapon. I will also say, I know you told us to not tell you it's a bad decision... but frankly, it is. If this is going to be your derp weapon, go for it, but don't expect to be too useful in missions. Even with your friends.

I knew 1h weapons couldn't get past L3 ele reforges, but the wiki didn't say anything about other ones or the max damage reforge in specific in the reforge table, though I may have missed it in the top details.

If I'd simply asked like I might not have any clue how "viable" it is, fine, but I made it very clear that I was aware of the implications.

Prefix-wise: You can go through the pain of getting a max roll Wyllow but I personally I would just enchant incubus and use the master of defense title. Lion hunter is only -2 max off incubus but has title flexibility.

I wonder if it's considered a specialized blunt weapon. Perhaps test with using alts with blunt mastery at rF and r1?

Total doesn't tell me much, but that's beside the point. Shouldn't really have problem figuring out what enchants to put when there is a good resource called wiki.

I'd assume you know that the weapon isn't to be taken seriously since you say that you have other things and whatnot. Hence why I'm against shadow hunter spike, too much damn work and money to put into for a derp weapon. You could even get wolf hunter's since those things are dirt cheap.

It's a sword, as in it gets stats from sword mastery, just like any other sword.

Look, ironwoman. At this point, you're completely under-handing the point of this thread. He's simply asking for what enchants would work. The OP seems to be well aware of what he's getting himself into, and it's not your place to judge his decisions.

That's not the only thing he asked. I said shadow hunter spike isn't the best choice due to the complex enchanting procedure. He also asked if reforges could go higher, a question that I also answered. If anyone's not giving productive answer and going off-topic, it'd be you, simply writing your first post to criticize me (and I'm aware this is pretty off-topic too, as well as you are). Thank you for derailing this thread that's pretty much been answered.

My logic was that if the OP were to ask about enchants, I'd consider whether some enchants are worth to put on this sword, in which case I don't think it is, hence recommending him different enchants. The only possible criticism I made is the statement about his total level on the last post and maybe the last sentence of tl;dr before that. In my logic, enchanting shadow hunter spike would be foolish to do so on this sword, hence why I recommened wolf/lion hunter's tireless/raven. Maybe I sounded critical, maybe I didn't, that's a subjective. But I still did give him answer, and it's not like I told him he must not enchant the sword or something, he can do whatever the hell he wants. I was just saying there are better options, particularly for enchants than the original ones he was going for.

I was saying it's already been tested and confirmed as a sword.
The same goes for other swords than don't use the regular sword motion. For example, hamlet's sword, krutta broadsword in KR server, etc.

Hence, Might won't go on it since this is actully a sword, not an ambiguous weapon.
