Well, this has been eating at me for awhile now, and just earlier me and my friend were discussing about changing our secondary sets from Gunslinger to Lancer. Mostly due to how "unstable" gunslinger tends to be(Besides WoG and reforged-shooting rush). The other viable option for the both of us seems to be lance, it seems more reliable and solid. I'll be honest, I'm near useless when I'm fighting Mana deflector lv3 mobs(Such as ghosts and those dreaded kiwis in convoy), so I need that coverage.
Thoughts and opinions?

I'm a Giant. I have no elemental/Shooting Rush Reforges on my equipment. My Lances aren't enchanted, but my swords are. Despite that, I have higher DPS with my Guns than with my Sword. Reason? Melee loses out if it's not reforged.

I dunno why you want to switch from guns to lances. I've already seen your character stats and considering you already have over 1500+ str/int you should definitely have no problem using dual guns. Sure, lances have piercing and lance charge reforges are great (dmg gloves/horseback distance boots) but for your case I would use Dowras for the cleanup.
However, if you are talking about Peaca Int/Abyss (since you mentioned ghosts), lance would be better as of 1v1, since peaca mobs have super high prots.

Well the thing is, my gunner damage is lacking due to my damage set(Alchemic set) and doesn't fair well in elite+ with the exception of WoG.
I can see myself hitting hard with a secpen R5 Knight/Ice lance thought.

You should go Lance then, since Gunslinger is similar to Alchemy being a mid-long ranged Talent. If enemies get too close, use your secondary Lances to push them back, although I arguably can do this with Gunslinger as well; but since you say your gun damage is low then maybe you shouldn't use Guns.

That, and will forever be windblast's job, no other skill does it better.

Well, things like WoG and Flash launcher hit hard, but when I'm in a ghost room while WoG is on cooldown I find myself spamming SR/bulletstorm/Flash for an extensive amount of time.

Guns and Ghosts don't go well together, I can vouch for that. Whenever they appear I always switch to my puppetry because puppetry's (Climactic Crash) multiplier is higher than Shooting Rush and also their Natural Shield makes it not very good to use Guns with. Guns work well against enemies that you can
use normal attack on with minimal problems, Ghosts don't really fulfill that. But if you're looking for a secondary skillset for stuff like Lord Missions and Peaca, then I would recommend Lances.
I don't use guns against enemies with Natural Shield because it's not viable. As aforementioned, guns work well against enemies that can be attacked with normal shots with minimal problems. Natural Shield enemies such as ghosts would not be stunned by the regular shots. Regular shots are important for Gunslingers because it's the only other alternative to use while Shooting Rush is in cooldown, other than Windmill of course. If the regular shots do not stun enemies, they're going to march up to you and may cause a dangerous situation.

From my personal Exp Gunner is more of a finisher skill with ether puppets or range Havent tested Gunner and other Sets due to Elf Melee Sucking
