So far the anime looks really good. I don't know what it is but I'm just so attracted to mecha animes. Also I love the cliffhangers so far in this anime.
OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG such a shock. I didn't expect to see Hina in the enemy mechs. I wonder whats going to happen when Aoba and Hina meet face to face
While I'm not a fan of mecha animes, I was drawn to the art style of this one, which is why I recommended it.
I wasn't expecting the twists too but I like them. Hope they will explain more about them later.
The coupling "help" system is pretty interesting too.
Now, the only main concern I have is this:
I hope they don't kill off the main characters somehow. Also, because it is time travel, the directions that this story could take is rather limited and predictable.
If anything the real main thing I want to know is. What is Aoba's significance in this time period.

I also wonder but it seems like he's the stand-in coupling pilot. I'm more curious as to why he was chosen.
Wikipedia mentioned about this being an original creation of Hajime Yatate...they were also credited as original creator for Tiger & Bunny, Big O and Gundam series (since 1979), so I'm pretty sure I will be enjoying this.

Well he seems to have importance besides the coupling. Idk maybe im overthinking it ans the coupling is the reason hes there but I just feel theres anither reason as to why hes there

Like how I started watching this because it had mecha, but for some reason I thought it was yaoi.

Gargantia.
And ew.. you called it Robotech. :(
I'm a bit skeptical about this series, but I'll give it a try. The retarded name is a bit off-putting.

Ended up watching up to ep 12. I've got to say that while it's interesting enough to make you wanna watch the next episode, I think this was only true for me because I haven't had time to watch any anime for weeks and I wanted to try something new. Overall, it's alright at best--and kinda dumb if you try to think about any of the aspects in the show, and is also really predictable. It's a cookie cutter anime, filled with childish stuff, cliches and has some mecha action thrown in. :( Definitely not impressive in any way. As far as action flicks go, I'm sure there are better series for that stuff. I guess it was geared more towards the younger crowd. I expect more from mecha anime. D:< Gargantia was definitely far more interesting.
One thing that surprised me in this anime was how big Hana's chest was during that episode where they got stuck in a cave. I think they overdid it. :| Fanservice be damned!
Still looking forward to that last episode, though.

Yea it has that whole "sid meier" feel with the "just one more turn!" It's not special or unique if one really looks at the history of mecha anime but its...appealing in its own weird way!
