Won my first ever PayPal claim

So what happened was the 14th I decided to sell something on eBay for the first time. I was very cautious since it was a Xbox Live 3 Month Gold Subscription and if I sold it and the buyer charged back I would of lost my money and the code.

Yesterday morning I decided to check my email and I got an email from eBay and PayPal saying he did a chargeback. Of course I was just so pissed off that I was stupid enough to go to eBay out of all places to sell this item so I went to PayPal (since you're supposed to it's mandatory to hear both sides) and gave them a decently long explanation of the situation with all the proof I had.

Then told my friends about the situation since the money was going to go towards my computer build and some of them offered me money which was nice but I rejected.

15 hours later PayPal saw it and just recently gave me the money back.

I'm so happy right now. I can't give him negative feedback on eBay for some reason.
Seriously very happy.

they shouldn't let people get refunds on prepaid code items i know physical stores don't let you so why not online ones

So many people go online and try to sell cards that are used to try and make a quick buck, it's ridiculous.

It wasn't a refund, he claimed he was hacked so he can get the money back. That wasn't what happened though. PayPal said there was no suspicious activity since he use the same IP address

On some communities like NeoGAF it's safe, but on sites like eBay and other popular (and open to the public) sites not so much.

If someone manages to steal my kitchen knife because I was too careless, do I get to have my money back from the manufacturer?

What kind of reasoning is that? Even if it was real. No shame.
