So, my teacher has given all of us cds and gave us a long list of antivirus programs to download for them.
See, the problem is i lost my list, but i remembered a few of the programs that i needed and im hoping it will be enough.
In order, i have downloaded.
Ccleaner
Hijackthis
Alcanshorty
I know i needed avg free version on it, but i have avg installed on all my home computers and it wont let me reinstall it on the cd, and the last time i tried to copy avg from the computer to another it told me i needed to have the regestry key it generated for this one. So i cant get avg on the cd, but am instead going to try to download the avg restore cd onto a blank dvd i have and bring that instead.
But does anyone know a way to copy avg to the cd without it requiring the keys and then not even working?.
edit- oh and does anyone know a good free rootkit killer?

Combofix kills rootkits but they always warn you to only use it with a techy. It also doesn't work with windows 7 and I'm not sure about vista.

Cool, and i think that was one of the ones that my teacher had on the list to get too.
Better start burning these programs for school tomorow morning
Do i count as a techie though? Ive been studying computers for 4 hours a day for the entire school year, and am taking my a+ certification exam early next month.
