More like it isn't. Splat's right, it doesn't work anymore. There are no hotkey options for doing it with your pets, just yourself, and it works fine when you're not mounted.
It's not really a big deal, though.

I have the same issue. I tried to redo my hotkey to see if it would work but no go. I hope they do fix it. It is a bit annoying.

Not that big of a deal, but still annoying cause I like to press space to put them in their relaxed stance right after mounted combat.

I saw someone talking about this on the official forums. It seems like space can't be used for pet hotkeys at all. Someone had it set to mount/dismount and it didn't work. I suspect it also can't be used to unsummon pets. This is a bit bigger than just not being able to roar when you want. I agree that it's not a huge issue though.

Pets are bugged. Like if you're standing beside one of those annoying archers, your partner pet will be annoying as well.

It probably has something to do with the coding for the future alpaca pets - when you hit space bar while mounted on them, you jump.
