Elemental Wave Heatbuster is interesting...
Never before have I been satisfied hitting near 40k on weakened enemies from Hydra off a crit.
But the cake for visually appealing is elemental shock.
That just looks amazing.
The damage is still pretty lackluster compared to other classes.
That being said, it became an even better support class, as classes like bard and puppet were already shadowing over it.

Dunno. Some of the Alchemy Skills are hitting higher than what I am using with a stock HLC. Of course, elemental 6 HLC overshadows it, but for all perks and purpose, it's doing great in hard and elite.
No reforge needed to for that damage. Same can be sad for magic.
Which makes me think without reforges, range, melee, and fighter's damage would be much lower without their elementals.
Most of the alchemists I know just main alchemy because its fun, and it's able to clear most content now with ease.
Sure, my WC's damage may not compare to blaze's 6-digit damage, but I'll always pick alchemy over other sets, just cause thats how i like to play, and I never hear people complain about me using alchemy.
I want them to give heatbuster a sort of buff thought. :(

That's the thing though. For true end game, where you'd have good reforges, other classes do outdamage alchemy.
Alchemy still offers tons of utility that no other gives. And even more with the patch.
As a main class though, I do think it's still underwhelming, because by the point you reach enough stats in other classes, you will be doing more damage.
I mean, there's already a person able to hit 10k normal mags in KR server without reforges.
Given the new AoE Frozen Blast, I think Alchemy's utility makes up for it's low clear time. It's powerful in a way that benefits those around you while falling short of other skillsets in solo play. Rather than give it a windmill/Act 7/ Fireball / Shooting Rush, it'd be more interesting to expand on that utility role.
Imagine that, a reason to have someone in the party other than raw damage output.
