I'm having a problem with my Mabionogi Setup application. Everytime I run it, it opens the patcher and says something along the lines of "The path of installation of Mabinogi is invalid" but I don't even have a path of installation because what I'm trying to do is install it so you can see my problem, thanks in advance for any help.

Try installing it into a different folder.

I would try that, but the option to select a folder to install to never comes up, it just immediately goes to the patcher, even though Mabinogi isn't even installed.

This is the exact same issue I am having when attempting to install Mabinogi onto my laptop. The installer will install the game in the background, but all it really does is just hang the computer for a good ten minutes then load up the patcher without actually having installed anything.
Edit: Tried again, this time after downloading, and it seems to be an issue with the current installer. It doesn't actually install anything, no installshield wizard, no progress bar, nothing.

You might want to try downloading directly(with the link below) instead of using the downloader they provided. That should resolved the "The path of installation of Mabinogi is invalid" and other installer issues you might have.

I've done that twice since I started my shift here at work. It's a long story, but the gist of it is that my job permits me to play games, watch anime, and read books. That aside...it's still not working, so I am going to download the installer on my desktop this afternoon and transfer it to my laptop.
If that doesn't work, i'll just use an extremely old installer I have lying around from before Saga started.

Oh my goodness the direct download worked it's actually installing right now. If I have any other problems, Ill let you guys know. Thanks a bunch.
[Edit] : Okay now it's installed but it says "Client.exe has stopped working" so darn. Any fixes for this? It doesnt open anything, I click game start on the patcher and that error comes up without anything loading. Everything is able to go through my firewall. Thanks in advance.

Okay so sorry if there are rules against double posting, but I think people might not see my edit if they see the last post was made 3 hours ago or if they already saw it they might pass it up. There's the above problem if I skip the installer with 7zip or, if I try to install the game properly, I get asked to give it administrative privileges, do so, and then without any hesitation the installer gives me an error that says "Cannot open downloaded zip file" I saw that a user named zeo posted this same problem
here and never got any replies but seems to be active past that point so maybe they got the problem solved. And again any help is greatly appreciated I really want to play this game.

Temporarily log onto your Administrator account and try running the installer that way. It should stop the "Run As" prompt when you get to the end of the installer.
Try this and tell me if it works.

Sorry about the late response but my computer didn't like me logging onto the admin account. I got several different results when doing that and none of them were good. At first, the installer crashed my computer. Second time it took a long time to load, like an hour, and then pulled up the patcher and did the whole "The path of installation of Mabinogi is invalid," thing. The third and final time I tried it, the installer came up and after extracting it just closed, no "The downloaded zip file can not be opened" or anything just quit. Any other ideas?

Which version of Windows do you have?

Are you installing to the default path? or another path similar to the default? If so this is probably due to windows being a bitch about permissions.
Try setting the install destination to a folder you created yourself either on another hard drive/partition (if you have one), or in an area you do have full permissions on (my documents, desktop...). The latter is not a very clean solution but it avoids you having to go mess around with folder permissions and ownership.
Also make sure to "run as" administrator for the installer, and right click -> properties the installer and "unblock" like so:

Windows XP
Osayidan: I got past the whole install issue actually. The I contacted zeo and asked them how they got past it and they told me to use universal extractor. So now Mabinogi is installed but there's another problem now. I open the patcher, it patches , and then when I click game start, it pauses for a second and then says "Client.exe has stopped working .....etc" So now that I have it installed it wont work. This is really exhausting.
